Bernadette admiring the Spring flowers

This card was chosen in the top three at  Sentimental Sundays Challenge Blog!  Woo hoo!!

Hi everyone!  I have another card to share, this time using Sarah Kay's Bernadette Admiring the Spring Flowers - she is an absolute doll...
...I used one of the papers from my First Edition Spring Feast pad and cut around some of the flowers before cutting an aperture with my circle nestie.  I coloured Bernadette with my fave colouring medium, Promarkers - she was a bit fiddlier to colour because of all the little flower details, but I think colouring brings out the child in all of us, so it was still a joy to do!
The handmade flowers are from the embellishment sheet on the Plush pals disc, I cut down the side of the petals slightly, inked with Victorian Velvet, then pinched the edge of each petal and layered the flowers, to create something quite like a waterlily.  I love the little pearly centres which I got from Crafts4U at the Leigh show...
...I attached the flowers so that they look as though they are on the ends of the stems printed on the paper, then filled with small pink flowers from Hobbycraft - need some more of these!  My Marianne flourish die came out of the box again, it's just so handy to add when using flowers and suits the swirly pattern on the paper.  I finished off with a sentiment which says Bloom and Grow, which is the challenge over at Papertake Weekly this week, oh and a touch of Glamourdust and pearls of course!
I'm entering this card into the following challenges :
In the Garden
Bloom and Grow
Handmade flowers
