Passion for Promarkers - Anything Goes

Hello again, crafty friends!  My aren't these days flying by?!  We're already nearly at the end of the first month of 2014 and I'll let you into a little secret...it's my Birthday!  But that's not why I'm here!  Of course, it's time for a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and this week it's the fabulous Nic's (aka Coops) turn to host and she's got a nice easy one for us this week as it's an Anything Goes Challenge!
This week we are sponsored by the fabulous Polkadoodles
Don't forget to be eligible to win the prize, you MUST use your Letraset products (i.e. promarkers, flex markers, aqua markers, tria markers, metallic markers or neon markers) and of course follow the theme
...I decided to make something other than a card and created a little notecard box.  I constructed the base from cream, linen embossed box board (must be at least 400gsm) and covered the sides with dark brown pearl card, embossed with Budding Vine embossing folder, rubbed with Versamark and highlighted with Golden Peach Mica Powder, to give an embossed metallic effect.
...The iris picture was a stamp that I found precoloured in my drawer, layered onto a Marianne doily die and SB Eyelet Circles die.  It was coloured using the following colours :
Lavender, Orchid, Amethyst, Purple, Vanilla, Mustard, Gold, Meadow, Apple, Lime, Pear and Moss
...I wanted to add something inside the box so decided to make some little notecards to go inside....the only problem being I no longer had the iris stamp as I'd borrowed it off Mum!  I rooted through my stamping box and found this pretty rose stamp and thought it would go with the floral theme...

...I made 4 notecards, each with a different colour theme.  Here's the colour list I used :
Lilac Rose - Soft Mauve, Lavender, Orchid, Amethyst, Purple, Imperial Purple
Pink Rose - Pale Blossom, lossom, Sorbet, Fuschia, Maroon
Yellow Rose - Ivry, Vanilla, Mustard, Gold, Soft Peach, Peach, Honeycomb
Red Rose - Tea Rose, Watermelon, Antique Pink, Ruby, Burgundy
All leaves - Lime Zest, Moss, Olive
...I highlighted the flowers with a touch of crystal glitter, inked the edges with Antique Linen DI and matted onto the same gold cardstock as the box sides.  I also made matching cream envelopes for each of the notecards...
...I finished the box with some purple satin ribbon and a chocolate box style bow.  I really like how this little project turned out and would like to add some iris notecards if I can borrow the stamp back from Mum!
Thanks for dropping by to see my crafty creation and I hope you can find the time to join in with Nic's challenge this week.  Don't forget to hop on over to the Passion for Promarkers blog to see what my wonderful teamies have been creating for your inspiration and I look forward to seeing your entries too!
Big crafty hugs,
Lisa x

Sherriff Bobby...

Woo hoo!  This card came Top 3 at Stampin' for the Weekend
and also Top 3 at I Love Promarkers!

Good morning, my lovelies!  Looks like it's going to be another washout for the next few days, but at least it's nearly the weekend!
For today's post. I thought I'd share another card made using one of the fabulous MilkCoffee digistamps that I purchased last week...
...So, this is Sherriff Bobby - don't you just love him?!  Having 2 boys myself, I quite enjoy making male cards (?!), so just had to have this little cutie when I saw him!  The papers I used are all from my scrap drawers (which are getting rather full now and so I'm trying to use some of them up!) but  I know they're from Dovecraft's Masculine paper pack and the stripe is from a Beary Patch 12x12 paper...
...I coloured Bobby with my Pro/Flexmarkers and used a gold pen to highlight his badge and buckles.  I have used an old layout that I used way back in March, but tweaked it a little and left the circle blank so that I can put an age number on it if anyone wants!...
...I decorated the inside to compliment the front, using the black and white line image and some coordinating papers...Here's a close up...
...Well, that's it from me for another day!  Thanks for dropping by to see me and I hope you like my Sherriff Bobby card!
Crafty hugs,
Lisa x

MilkCoffee Charlotte...

Good morning, my dear Blogging buddies and a Happy Tuesday to you all!  Before I start, I 'd just like to remind you all that there's a new challenge starting today over at Passion for Promarkers.  It's Team 2 in the chair this week and Nat has chosen the theme "Use Ribbon, lace or Twine", so a nice easy one to join in with!  Hop on over to the blog to see what the lovely Team have made for your inspiration and I hope you can join in with the challenge this week!

...So, anyway!  I'm here today to share a little card with you that I made using my digi choice from my recent Top 3 spot at MilkCoffee.  I have been entering their challenges for a while and have never realised that they had a digi shop...duh!!  So whilst picking my freebie (don't you just love a freebie?!), I had to have a couple of other images, which I'll be sharing on later cards!...
This is Charlotte with her bird and I decided to team her with one of my new Prima pads Sunny Days and go for a nice bright colour theme!...
...I coloured Charlotte with my Pro/Flemarkers and here's the colour list I used :
Skin - Blush, Sunkissed Pink, Coral
Hair - Sandstone, Caramel, Cocoa, Henna, Umber
Dress - Soft Peach, Rose Peach, Spice
Bird - Aquamarine, Cool Aqua, Surf Blue
Flowers - Meadow, Leaf, Bright Green, Buttercup, Mustard, Sunflower, Watermelon, Cerise, Vermillion
Socks - Dove Grey, Blender
Shoes - Col Grey 1, 3, 4, 5
...The daisy flowers were cut using another of my recent wins - Marianne's Button Flower die...I just love these flowers and wll be using them a lot, I'm sure!...
...I decorated the inside to match the front with the line image and another daisy flower to finish!
I love the bright colours of this one and am really pleased with how it turned out...just what we need on another grey, Winter's day!  Thanks for dropping by to see me and I hope to be back soon with another crafty creation!
Hugs,
Lisa x

Wee Stamps Hopeful...

Good evening, my lovelies and I hope you are all well and ready for the weekend?!  I was going to post this little creation this morning, but don't really know what happened, the day just seemed to run away with me...I wouldn't mind if I had something to show for it, but apart from a pile of ironing and a slightly tidier craft table, it looks like I haven't achieved much else, but I've been busy all day!?!  Anyway...
...whilst browsing in the Wee Stamps shop over the festive period, I came across this little darling and just had to have her, if only for her hair!...
...This is Hopeful - isn't she the sweetest?!  I adore her hair and though it took quite a while to colour, I thoroughly enjoyed doing it!  The papers I used are from First Edition Isabelle and Dreamcatcher pads and I also used SB Labels Three, Marianne flourish and Cheery Lyn's Exotic Butterflies...
...I coloured Hopeful with my Pro/Flexmarkers and was quite pleased with the results...even if I do say so myself!  If you're a Letrasetter, like me, here's the list of colours I used :
Hair - Sandstone, Caramel, Cocoa, Umber (one of my fave combos)
Skin - Blush, Dusky Pink, Sunkissed Pink, Coral
Top - Soft Mauve, Lavender, Orchid, Wild Orchid, Champagne, Sandstone, Caramel
Trousers - Soft Aqua, Aquamarine, Duck Egg, Surf Blue, Tea Rose, Watermelon, Antique Pink
Lantern - Buttercup, Mustard, Gold, Ivory, Honeycomb, Pumpkin, Mandarin
...I fussy cut Hopeful, leaving a white border and added her with foam pads, finishing with a touch of glitter (though it doesn't show in the pics) and some small pearls.
I've been watching a few Promarker YouTube videos and think I may need some fine nibs for adding extra detail and shading...that's something else to add to my ever expanding list!  However...I have been a very lucky girl so far this year and have won a £10 voucher for Classy Crafts with Creative Inspirations Challenge, which has invested in a lovely Marianne button flower and white embossing powder, I won a fab bunch of charms over at The Ribbon Girl blog and then got Top 3 at MilkCoffee which meant I could choose a free digi!  How awesome is that?!  I just hope my streak of luck continues!
Well, that's it from me for tonight, I hope you've enjoyed seeing my new crafty creation and don't forget there's still time to join in with our 'Just a Fairytale' challenge over at the Passion for Promarkers Challenge blog!  See you soon!
Hugs,
Lisa x

Good morning, dear Bloggers!  It's Tuesday again which sees the start of a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers - this week it's the lovely Lou in the chair and she would like us to create something with the theme 'Just a fairytale' (Think, princes, princesses, castles, dragons, etc)...

Don’t forget you must use your Letraset products (i.e. promarkers, flex markers, aqua markers, tria markers, metallic markers or neon markers) and of course follow the theme.
...I decided to go big with my card and made an 8x8 square card base from 2 A4 pieces.  I used First Edition Dreamcatcher papers, which dictated the pink, purple (my colour of the moment) and yellow colour combo...
...The pretty Fairy Princess image is from MilkCoffee and was a joy to colour!  Here's the colour list for all you Letraset fans :
Skin - Satin, Dusky, Sunkissed Pink
Hair - Sandstone, Caramel, Cocoa, Henna, Umber
Dress and Hat - Lavender, Amethyst, Purple, Imperial Purple, Muted Pink, Tea Rose, Watermelon, Antique Pink, Ivory, Vanilla, Sunflower

DSB Rosie Birthday card...

Good afternoon, my dear Blogging friends!  Despite the forecast of not so scattered showers, we have been quite lucky and managed to evade most of them this morning, and dare I say it?...the sun is even shining!  It makes such a difference having the sun coming in to my craft room (well, supposed to be dining room!), that it made me want to make something bright and cheerful!  As it's a friend's daughter's birthday this week, I thought I'd better make a card to send early, as it has to go to Ireland and the postal service is not the best in getting there!...
...Inspired by the lovely Tara's interpretation of the My Favourite Things Get Sketchy Challenge, I decided to follow along with their sketch and even enter my card in the challenge!  I always get crafty stash envy when I visit Tara's blog as she has so much MFT products to play with and I would love to own some myself...I already have my eye on a couple of the Blueprints sets, the fishtail flag STAX and many more, so I'm hoping that my luck might just be in and I can win something towards getting my MFT stash off the ground!...
....Anyway, back to my card!  I have been treating myself lately to some new crafty stash, seeing as I have been away from crafting for a while and this little cutie was one of my latest purchases, especially for this card!  This is from the Rosie 1 Collection from Digi Stamp Boutique and I coloured her using my Pro/Flexmarkers and here's the colour list for all you Letrasetters :
Skin - Blush, Sunkissed Pink, Cocktail Pink, Coral
Hair - Linen,  Champagne, Sandstone, Caramel
Hairband - Tea Rose, Watermelon, Antique Pink, Ruby
Top - Soft Aqua, Aquamarine, Duck Egg, Surf Blue
Large present - Tea Rose, Watermelon, Antique Pink, Ruby, Ivory, Vanilla, Mustard
Small present - Honeydew, Pastel Green, Soft Green, Sandstone, Caramel, Cocoa, Henna
Star Balloon - Buttercup, Canary, Sunflower
Round Balloon - Tea Rose, Cocktail Pink, Cerise, Shocking Pink
...The fabulous papers are some more new stash and are from Prima's Anna Marie and Hello Pastel paper pads.  The name and number were cut using my Cricut - I did wonder if I would find much use for this machine, but it is proving to be a great addition to my crafty kit!  I embellished my card with some glitter, pearls, pearl stars and bright dotty ribbon and finished with a printed insert, with a birthday verse.
I really love the way this card turned out and shall definitely be using this fantastic sketch again!  Thanks for coming to visit me today and I hope I've given you some crafty inspiration!  Back tomorrow with a new Passion for Promarkers challenge - Team 1's first of the year!
Big crafty hugs,
Lisa x

Drangonfly tag and Flower frame card...

Good afternoon, my lovelies!  I thought I'd pop in today and share the cards that we made at the workshop, yesterday...
...The first was a little tag card which could be used for any occasion...
...The base was made from Kraft card and the papers are from First Edition Isabelle paper pad...
...The dragonfly dies are from Doohickeys and look lovely inked and glittered, with pearl bodies.  We used a selection of circle dies to create the detail on the tag and the little sentiment and a pretty picot edge border, though I can't remember the manufacturer!  We finished off with some twine and polka dot buttons.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges :
Butterflies or Dragonflies (until Sat 18th)
Anything Goes (until Mon 13th)
Anything Goes / Use pearls or buttons
(I used both!)
...The second card we made was utilising flower punches as the main feature on the card...
...I just love the way this one turned out and it was so nice to sit and emboss and layer the flowers to make them much more dimensional!...
...I used a variety of different flower punches, adding pearls to the centres, leaves from Cheery Lyn's Leaf Strip border die and Martha Stewarts pine branch punch...
...The paper is from Paper Cellar's Victorian Classic and the frame was made using Spellbinders Labels Three nesties...
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges :
Anything Goes (until Sun 19th)
Anything Goes #2 (until end Jan)
Flowers (until Thurs 16th)
Hope you like my crafty creations and I'll be back, if not before, then on Tuesday with a new Passion for Promarkers challenge.  Until next time, thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of the weekend!
Hugs,

It's despicable!...

Good afternoon, my lovelies!  Hope you're all well and keeping dry and warm in these adverse weather conditions!
Today is my eldest's 16th birthday (where did those years go?!) and of course, I had to make him a card....after blog hopping the other day, I came across some fabulous inspiration whilst visiting Vicky's blog (Sticky with Icky).  I just loved the minion card (from the Despicable Me films) she made for her son Ben and knew I had to have a go at one and this was the result...

...I made my card base to fit a 13x18cm envelope, used a CD to draw around and shape the top, and a corner punch for the bottom...hehe, bot-tom!  (You'll have to have seen the film to appreciate this joke!)  I cut the trousers, mouth and teeth freehand and used various circle dies for the eyes and goggles...
...The pocket was a rectangle of card which I rounded the bottom corners with a punch and then I added the layered number 16 using my latest toy (which I found under my Christmas tree!), my Cricut mini!  Whilst playing to cut out the numbers, I had a eureka moment and wondered whether I would be able to cut the shapes for a minion card on my Cricut?  A bit of playing and welding of shapes later and a new minion was born...

...And because he was cut on the Cricut, he multiplied!!!...
...Most of my friend's children and son's friends love the minions, so it'll be great to have a card ready and just add a number to the pocket!  I think they are so cute and easy to make too!  Hope you like my despicable creations and thanks for visiting me today!
Hugs,
Lisa x

Wee Stamps - Birthday Girl...

Good evening, my lovelies!  Gosh, it's still wild out there!  Once again, we have had gale force winds and the rain just doesn't seem to want to let up any!  We haven't had it as bad as some of the areas in the South and my thoughts go out to those of you that have been affected by these terrible storms...I think we need to start getting used to these freak weather patterns, as they seem to be coming something of a habit!  Here's hoping it calms down next week.

I'm here this evening to share the First Birthday card that I mentioned I'd made using the Wee Stamps, Birthday Girl digistamp...
...I have been quite sensible when it comes to colouring my images (?!) and have actually found papers that I can use first and coloured the image accordingly (this usually happens very rarely and I spend most of my time hunting around for papers that will go together!)  The papers I used for this one are First Edition Love Letters...
...I also used some of my favourite dies, Marianne Creatables Doily dies - these add such lovely layers to a card.  Like my little boy card, I created the layers for the number 1 in PS and printed onto the reverse of the card and then cut out...
...I coloured the Wee Birthday Girl with Pro/Flexmarkers and here's the colour list I used :
Skin - Satin, Blush, Dusky, Sunkissed Pink
Hair - Linen, Light Fawn, Champagne, Sandstone
Babygro - Muted Pink, Tea Rose, Watermelon, Sandstone, Caramel, Buttercup, Sunflower, Blue Grey 1
Cake - Satin, Tan, Shale, Ivory, Vanilla
Flowers - Soft Mauve, Blue Pearl, Sunflower
...My WOC flowers arrived yesterday, (love these sweetheart blossoms and mini roses, so sweet!) so I added some around the sentiment which was cut using SB Classic Ovals and embellished with a Memory Box Corner Bow (cut down) and Cheery Lynn Leaf Strip dies.  I finished with some pearls, a touch of glitter and added a printed insert with the black and white line image and a Birthday verse.  I really like the way this card turned out and it was nice to do something pink and girly - my favourite!  Thanks for dropping by and I'll be back soon with some more crafty creations!
Hugs,
Lisa x
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges :
One for the Girlies (until end of Jan)
Anything Goes
Favourite Single Colour and Why
(In crafting my favourite colour would have to be pink! It is amazing how many times my projects end up being pink or having pink in them and more often than not, unintentionally!  I just think it is such a pretty and feminine colour and I do like things that are quite girly!)
until Thurs 16th

Wee Stamps Birthday Boy...

Good afternoon, Bloggers!  My, what a day we're having!  So far this morning, we've had thunder and lgihtning, hail storms, torrential rain and now...sunshine!  Well, we're on Day 3 of 2014 and I'm here to share my first crafty creation of the year!
...I treated myself to a few Wee Stamps digis over the Christmas holidays and this little cutie was one of them!  As soon as I saw him, I knew I wanted to put him with a large number, so decided to make a shaped easel card...
...I used First Edition, Dreamcatcher and Animal Antics paper pads, plus a stripe from the snowman card on 12 Cards of Christmas CD-Rom.  I created the different layers for the number 2 in PS and printed onto the reverse of the cardstock, then cut out by hand...
...I coloured the cute little boy image with my Pro/Flexmarkers (being a Letraset girl!) and paper pieced his onesie with a paper from the baby card on A Year in Cards CD-Rom.  Here's the colour list I used :
Skin - Satin, Blush, Dusky, Sunkissed Pink
Hair - Linen, Light Fawn, Champagne, Sandstone, Nutmeg
Baby Gro - Soft Mauve, Blue Pearl, Dove Grey
Cake - Satin, Tan, Shale, Ivory, Vanilla
Mouse - Cool Grey 1, 3, 4, Muted Pink, Tea Rose, Watermelon
Cherry - Vermillion, Maroon
...I added a touch of glitter, some small polka dot buttons and some die cut stars, matted onto silver to embellish.
I have also bought the little Birthday Girl image too, which I've made a 1st Birthday card with (I'll share it soon as I'm waiting for some flowers to arrive from WOC to see if I want to add any to it!)  If I had used my brain (doesn't happen very often!) I would've realised that it would have been much better to use the images on the opposite cards as a friend's little girl is 2 this month and another friend's little boy is one...doh!  Oh well, it just means I'll have to make another two cards in what is one of the busiest birthday months for our family!  At least it means more crafty creations to share with all you lovely Bloggers!  Thanks for dropping by to see me today and I hope to be back with you all again soon!
Big crafty Hugs,
Lisa x
I'd like to enter my card into the following challneges :

Anything Goes (until Fri 17th)

Happy New Year!...

Good morning, Blogland and a Happy 2014 to you all!  Before Christmas (how long ago was that?!) I promised that I would share a couple of pics of the house now that it's finished, so camera in hand, I tried taking some shots so that you can see what I've been up to....one of my resolutions has to be to learn how to take a half decent photograph!  Anyway, here goes...
...so this is now what my kitchen looks like (well, it doesn't look like this as I type, it looks like a bomb has hit it, but this is it on a good day!) My colour of the moment is purple, thanks to the stunning Laura Ashley paper that now adorns my stair wall and landing wall...
...I hope to change the stair carpet later in the year to a nice charcoal grey and it turns out that every room in the house now coordinates with the colours that are in this paper (not by design, more by sheer luck!)  I have stopped buying things for the moment as we are still trying to fit everything back in to our little 3 bed semi (we must have had elasticated walls before the refurb!) though there are a few big purchases I would like to make over the next year, if we can....better go and check my lottery ticket!  I am glad to have a bit of normality back - who am I kidding, we've never been normal!  But it is nice to sit at my computer and crafty table again, it feels ever such a long time since I last crafted and my crafty wish list is getting bigger by the hour!  A few of the things that I would like to aquire this year...preferably sooner rather than later...I NEED some UTEE to have a play with my MS moulds (must get out my clay too!), I am desperately in need of some flowers too, cherry blossoms and mini roses for definite!  I keep admiring the MFT dies (Tara from Inking on the Edge's fault!) and everyone seems to be using frantage and I wonder if I'm missing out on something?!  Some nice new patterned paper pads wouldn't go a miss and maybe some gilding wax...heck, at this rate, I'll be buying a craft shop!
I hope you are enjoying your start to 2014, although it seems to be a case of batten down the hatches for us today - we currrently have gale force winds and horizontal rain...again!  Let's hope that 2014 brings us some sunshine and a bit of warmth!  Take care wherever you are and I hope that the storms don't cause too much trouble if you're here in the UK...stay safe!
Big hugs,
Lisa x
