I'm here this evening to share the First Birthday card that I mentioned I'd made using the Wee Stamps, Birthday Girl digistamp...
...I have been quite sensible when it comes to colouring my images (?!) and have actually found papers that I can use first and coloured the image accordingly (this usually happens very rarely and I spend most of my time hunting around for papers that will go together!) The papers I used for this one are First Edition Love Letters...
...I also used some of my favourite dies, Marianne Creatables Doily dies - these add such lovely layers to a card. Like my little boy card, I created the layers for the number 1 in PS and printed onto the reverse of the card and then cut out...
...I coloured the Wee Birthday Girl with Pro/Flexmarkers and here's the colour list I used :
Skin - Satin, Blush, Dusky, Sunkissed Pink
Hair - Linen, Light Fawn, Champagne, Sandstone
Babygro - Muted Pink, Tea Rose, Watermelon, Sandstone, Caramel, Buttercup, Sunflower, Blue Grey 1
Cake - Satin, Tan, Shale, Ivory, Vanilla
Flowers - Soft Mauve, Blue Pearl, Sunflower
...My WOC flowers arrived yesterday, (love these sweetheart blossoms and mini roses, so sweet!) so I added some around the sentiment which was cut using SB Classic Ovals and embellished with a Memory Box Corner Bow (cut down) and Cheery Lynn Leaf Strip dies. I finished with some pearls, a touch of glitter and added a printed insert with the black and white line image and a Birthday verse. I really like the way this card turned out and it was nice to do something pink and girly - my favourite! Thanks for dropping by and I'll be back soon with some more crafty creations!
Hugs,
Lisa x
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges :

Anything Goes
Favourite Single Colour and Why
(In crafting my favourite colour would have to be pink! It is amazing how many times my projects end up being pink or having pink in them and more often than not, unintentionally! I just think it is such a pretty and feminine colour and I do like things that are quite girly!)

Lisa, this is such an adorable card! How perfect for a little girl is THIS?! I love the pink patterned papers you've chosen to use. They work so well together. That little stamped baby girl is darling and you've colored her to perfection. The little lacy die cuts and flowers are the perfect embellishments! SO CUTE! <3 Candy

Hi Lisa, just had a wee catch up on your blog - I'm only just surfacing from the chaos that is the run up to, run down from and Christmas itself!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards - love the digis, if only I knew anyone with small children!! Your colouring, as always, is so pretty as well! And I'm well impressed that you cut the numbers out by hand - wouldn't catch me attempting that.
Was looking at the pictures of your house as well - well WOW! Hasn't that come up beautifully, you must be very glad that all the builders and associated mess is gone. We've still got builders in, but they are converting the garages at the mo - so nothing in the house, thankfully.
Also wanted to say I know I'm dipping a toe in the dark side (with the Copics), terrible ain't I! I started out with ProMarkers as they are cheaper than Copics and, when I first moved on colouring in images from watercolours, I wasn't sure if it would work or not and so I went for the cheaper option. Tho I did buy one packet of Copics and wasn't too sure about the nib - the packet I brought didn't blend and so thought I didn't like them.
As I've got better with my colouring I've been frustrated by the lack of approved classes (support?) for Pros and sometimes I just couldn't get the look I wanted with the nib. The Flexs were good, but I have to admit now having tried Copics I'm impressed. Also have you seen the amount of stuff there is on the net for Copics???? There's loads!
So I will see how I go, and I do appreciate that I could work both sets of pens together, but I can see me turning. Oh dear! Will you still talk to me???
Sarah
