Good morning, crafty friends from a sunny North Wales and a Happy Summer Solstice! It's time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers...
This week it's the lovely Julie in the hostess chair and she's picked out a simple theme of 'Celebrations'...so whatever you may be celebrating, we'd like to see your creations!
We're being sponsored by The Paper Shelter who are offering one lucky winner a choice of 3 digital images from their online store...
As Julie is hostess, she got to pick out this week's image to play with and chose the super sweet Queen Bee...
I thoroughly enjoyed colouring this one up and was rather pleased with how she turned out! Here's the colour list of the Pro/Flexmarkers I used :
For the background, I used a honeycomb aperture die that I have had in my stash for a while and just used the image to cover up the area that has a bee on it. I used a honeycomb paper and a strip of scrap floral paper from The Works Sweet Garden Roses 12 x 12 paper pad and fussy cut Queen Bee, leaving a white border. I layered her over the aperture using foam pads and added a computer generated sentiment, before finishing with some glitter and gems...
I hope you can find the time to play along with our easy challenge this week and look forward to seeing your fabulous creations!
Crafty hugs,
A stunning card and your colouring of this sweet image is gorgeous too. I always love your layouts as they have so much interest in the paper panels and die cut details.
