Wow! I'm sure you’ll agree our sponsors have been super generous once again this year!

Both design teams will be sharing some inspiration with you but as it such a long challenge we will be posting the inspiration from Team 1 today over on the Passion for Promarkers blog and then in two week’s time we will be posting inspiration from Team 2.

I have to admit that I really struggled with this card! What started out as a simple embossed card, turned into a marathon card with everything chucked at it bar the kitchen sink!?! There's coloured embossing, fussy cut flowers, die cut holly and berries, plus a tag, snowflakes and stamped sentiment...after three hours, I admitted defeat...mainly because I didn't have another three hours to play around!  I'm sure some of you will love it, but for me, it was very much an uphill struggle!

I would like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and do hope that you can find the time over the festive period to play along with our Mega challenge...

I hope to be back at some point with another crafty make or two, but can't guarantee it the way things are at the moment! I would just like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who visits my little corner of Blogland and hope that the New Year brings more time to create and share with you.

Take care and crafty hugs,

Passion for Promarkers - Glitter & Sparkle...

Good morning, crafty friends! Another Tuesday appears and it's time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers! The lovely Julie is in the hostess chair and she has given us a topical theme of Glitter & Sparkle...Julie would like you to include something sparkly or glittery on your creations this week i.e. glitter paper/card, stickles, sequins, gems and with the festive card making season in full swing I’m sure this will prove to be a super easy challenge this week!  We can’t resist some glitter and sparkle on our creations at this time of year can we?

We're being sponsored by The Paper Shelter who are offering one lucky winner 3 digi images of their choice from their online store...

The DT all got an image to play with this week and Julie picked out the ever so sweet 'Fairy Christmas Eve'...

As this super cute image is so detailed, I decided to keep my card clean and simple! I printed the image in PS, after adding the night before Christmas verse and decoupaged the head and stocking of that little sleeping fairy.

I added some Tim Holtz Festive branches and a die cut paper bow, before adding glitter to the fairy trim, wings and candle and the pine branches and snow. There seemed to be a lot of empty space in the bottom right corner, but I needed something simple, so added some die cut snowflakes for texture more than anything.

As you can probably tell from my well spaced posts, things are still rather busy in our household and priorities have to be made to try and build our new business. I am working two jobs, completing card orders, DT cards and workshops, plus trying to keep on top of the housework and feeding the family! As you can imagine, my days are pretty full and I certainly sleep well at the end of it!

I hope that you can join in with our fun challenge this week and look forward to seeing all of your wonderful creations! Thanks for stopping by and I hope tobe back soon!

Crafty hugs,

Passion for Promarkers - Fancy Frames...

Hi there, crafty buddies! Our brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers this week is being set by the lovely Lorraine, who would love to see your 'Fancy Frames'...they can be die cut, stamped, embossed or created from ribbon/lace or other embellishments. Plus it doesn't have to be a card, it can be any creation you like, as long as you've used your Winsor & Newton/Letraset mediums and follow the challenge theme...

This week, we're being sponsored by Bugaboo, who are offering one lucky winner a $12.00 gift voucher to their online store...

We were lucky enough to get an image to play with and I picked out a seasonal one  called 'Christmas Tree Row '...

Traditionally, this image has 6 trees in a row, but I decided to just frame 3 of them as a shaker element on my card, with some old white embossing powder as snow in the bottom...I used my Creative Plus scalloped rectangle dies to make the frames and then created a garland at the top from various foliage dies. I added liquid pearls to the scallops of the larger frame and finished with an organza bow and sentiment.

I am having a crazy busy time of it at the moment, so must apologise for my crafty absence, but there has been a lot of changes in our home life and time is in extremely short supply! I am currently trying to juggle setting up a new business with hubby, work (both with him and my 'real' job), keep things going at home, card orders and workshops, plus fitting in DT cards! So life is a little hectic, to say the least!

I hope you're finding more time than me to craft and would love if you could play along with our fun challenge this week!

Passion for Promarkers - Use Black and/or Purple...

Good morning, Blogger buddies! It's that time of the week again, when we start a brnad new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers!...

The lovely Sue is in the hostess chair and she has given us a topical theme (but not Halloween!) of 'Use Black and/or Purple'...so your creation can be for any occasion, as long as you use either or both of these colours!

We're being sponsored by Crafty Sentiments who are offering one lucky winner a choice of 3 digis from their online store...just remember that to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you must use your Letraset/Winsor & Newton mediums and follow the challenge theme...

We were lucky enough to get an image to play with and I picked out the ever so fun 'Henry, why not'...

He really is a great image for boys' cards and I teamed him up with a mix of papers from my stash, including the skull paper from the November set of A Year in Cards and the purple polka dot from Another Play on Words, House set. I coloured Henry with my Pro/Flexmarkers and added the skateboard image and sentiment from the November set of A Year in Cards...

I hope you can play along with our fun challenge this week - and don't forget, your entry can be for any celebration...

Passion for Promarkers - Make it Festive...

Good morn-afternoon, my lovelies! It's Tuesday, so you know what that means, don't you?  Yep, that's right! It's the start of a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers...

This week it's the lovely Marie in the hostess chair and (unlike my challenge) she would like to see all of your festive makes for that event that happens in December! So get out your markers and Make it Festive! We're being sponsored by JMC Designs who are offering one lucky winner a digital collection of their choice from the online store...

Just remember that to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you MUST use your Letraset/Winsor & Newton mediums (although they can be mixed with other mediums) and follow the challenge theme...

I decided to use the ever so fun image 'Edna' and had her trying to tackle her tinsel, with limited success! It was a good challenge to use a non Christmas image for a festive make and I think it's made a really fun card with a difference!

I coloured Edna with my Pro/Flexmarkers and coloured some fluffy wool before adding crystal glitter, for my tinsel. The papers were all from my scrap drawers - I always try to go to my scraps first, but it seems that I make more than I can use! I created the sentiment in Photoshop and added some die cut snowflakes with crystal gem centres...

I hope you can find the time to play along with our festive challenge this week and look forward to seeing all of your wonderful creations!

Passion for Promarkers - Anything but Christmas...

Good morning, crafty friends! Another Tuesday rolls around, which means a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers! It's my turn to host this week and I've picked a really easy challenge theme for you all...it is far too early for me to think of that event that happens at the end of the year, so I want to see 'Anything but Christmas'!...

Put away the snowmen and hide the holly, I would like to see all of your non-Christmas makes - whether it's Harvest or Happy Birthday, Easter or Anniversary, as long as it's not festive, I want you to play along...

This week we're being sponsored by Uniko who are offering one lucky winner a choice of stamp set from their online store (has to be in stock)...

Just don't forget that to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you MUST use your Letraset/Winsor & Newton mediums and follow the challenge theme...so NO CHRISTMAS!

For my card I went with a really simple design, giving focus to the pretty poppy image which we get lots of here in Wales. I coloured them up to look like the Welsh mountain poppies that seed all over our grass verges and gardens and fussy cut them out, leaving a white border.

Colour List -
Primrose, Lemon, Sunflower, Gold
Gold, Pumpkin, Bright Orange, Mandarin, Firebrick
SN Willow, Bamboo, Camo Green

I inked the background with Broken China Distress Oxide, using a blending brush and stamped a pretty sentiment from Card Making Magic Layered Floral stamp set. I doodled a border and added the panel onto a rich, sunflower yellow cardstock. I have to admit to being rather influenced by Gina K's card style these days and love her simple design and use of bold colours and black mats...

I do hope that you can find the time to play along with my easy, peasy challenge this week and look forward to visiting you all and seeing all of your wonderful creations...

Passion for Promarkers - Leaves/Foliage...

Good morning, crafty buddies! It's Tuesday...which means the start of a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers! The lovely Julie has chosen a topical theme of 'Leaves/Foliage', so whether it's leafy papers, leaf die cuts or leaves on your image, we would like to see them...and it doesn't matter the season either - Spring green leaves, Autumnal tones or frosty Winter leaves, as long as there are leaves somewhere on your project, then that's fine! You better be-leaf it?!...

We're being sponsored by The Colour of Love who are offering one lucky winner a choice of 3 digital images from their online store...

We were lucky enough tot be able to choose an image to play with and I picked out the ever so pretty 'Gabriella Illuminations'...

I decided to do a box frame for a change and coloured Gabriella up with my Pro/Flexmarkers, decoupaging her dress, hair and the hanging lights. I added die cut leaves and stems, coloured with my markers and wanted it to look a little like Wisteria flowers. I created a sentiment in Photoshop and finished with a touch of glitter.

Colour list -
Skin - Blush, Putty, Tan
Dress - Satin, Blush, Soft Peach, Rose Peach
Hair - Cinnamon, Cocoa, Walnut, Umber
Leaves - SN Willow, Bamboo, Camo Green, Vintage Photo DI

I hope that you can find the time to play along with our fun challenge this week and look forward to seeing all of your wonderful creations!

Passion for Promarkers - Christmas in September...

Good evening, crafty friends! This Bank Holiday has thrown my body clock out and I'm totally confused as to what day of the week it is (although it doesn't take much to confuse me?!)...

But, it's Tuesday ( I think?!)...and that means a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers! The lovely Sue is in the hostess chair and she's set a theme for that holiday that happens in December, that I never really want to think about until at least the end of October! I suppose it would be good to be organised, so we would like to see all of those festive makes - be it snowmen or snowflakes, stockings or Santas, we want to see your Christmas creations!...

We have LeAnn's World 101 sponsoring us and they're offering one lucky winner a choice of 2 digital images from their online store...

The DT were lucky enough to choose an image to play with and I picked out the ever so 'Sweet Henrietta'...

I went with a CAS design and used my Distress Oxides to create a sky like background before adding on a couple of die cut clouds, with one for Henrietta to stand on. I coloured Henrietta up with my Pro/Flexmarkers and forgot to make a note of the colours in my haste to get ahead! I added some small snowflake die cuts and a simple sentiment created in Photoshop, then glittered up her wings, horn and halo with crystal and gold glitter...

I hope you can find the time to play along with our festive challenge this week and look forward to seeing all of your wonderful creations!

Passion for Promarkers - Shades of Blue...

Good afternoon, crafty friends! We have a brand new challenge starting today over at Passion for Promarkers and the lovely Shelly has chosen a colour theme of 'Shades of Blue'...we will accept, skin, hair and a little of other colours, but the dominant colour should be blue.

We're being sponsored by Di's Digi Stamps who are offering one lucky winner a $6 voucher to spend in their online store...

Don't forget, to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you MUST use your Letraset/Winsor & Newton mediums and follow the challenge theme - it also really helps if you can let us know where you've used them, for example, coloured with Promarkers...

For my card, I used a new image which will soon be available in my Etsy store called 'Jug of Daisies'. I coloured it up with my Pro/Flexmarkers using the following colours :

  • Flowers - Pastel Blue, Arctic Blue, China Blue, Indigo Blue, Buttercup, Mustard, Gold, Henna
  • Leaves - Apple, Grass, Forest Green
  • Jug - Pebble Blue, Cloud Blue, Blender, Khaki for shadow

I used the blue ticking paper form the cooker/washer set of Words at Play and a piece of blue floral daisy paper from my scrap drawers. A simple sentiment, dots of glitter and some flat back pearls is all I used to embellish and finish my card.

I'm slowly trying to get back into my crafting and social media...although I have been busy with card orders...we've just got a lot going on at home at the minute and so that has to take priority...

I hope you can find the time to play along with our challenge this week and look forward to seeing all of your wonderful creations...

Passion for Promarkers - For a Male/Boy...

Good evening, Blogger buddies! I am having a hard time knowing what day of the week it is at the moment, so am a little late in posting...but it is Tuesday (I think!) and that means a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers!

The lovely Marie is in the hostess chair and she's given us a challenge theme of 'For a Male or boy'... and although I tend to do more feminine cards, I do love to get out the bolder colours and ditch the pink once in a while...not too often, of course!

We are being sponsored by Dr Digi's House of Stamps, who not only have some fantastic images for those hard to make for males in our lives, but are also offering one lucky winner 2 digital images of their choice from the online store!
https://www.doctor-digi.com/

Just don't forget that to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you must use your Winsor & Newton, formerly Letraset, mediums and follow the challenge theme. It also really helps if you let us know where you've used them, so for example, 'coloured with Promarkers'...

We were lucky enough to get an image to play with and I picked out the characterful 'Mortimer Moose'...
I love the look on this little guy's face and despite having an I love you sign, I decided to play around a bit and turn it into a 'You're how old?!' sign!...

The papers were picked out of my scrap drawers and include the Aqua texture paper from the June set of A Year in Cards, the red polka dot from the Apple set of Words at Play, the Buttercup spot from my Buttercups mini kit and the Lighthouse plaid from Words at Play...

I thoroughly enjoyed colouring up this fun character, but sadly forgot to write down the colour list...my head is a little distracted just now!...but I love the way he turned out!

I hope you can find the time to play along with our fun challenge this week and look forward to seeing all of your fabulous makes! Until next time, happy crafting and sending hugs...

Passion for Promarkers - BINGO!...

Good morning, crafty buddies! Another Tuesday rolls around, which means it's time for a brand new challenge starting over at Passion for Promarkers! I'm playing hostess this week and have given you a nice, easy BINGO board to play along with...
We are being sponsored by JMC Designs, who are offering one lucky winner a choice of 1 digital collection form their online store...
https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/JMCDesignsArt

Just remember, to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you must use your Letraset/Winsor & Newton mediums and follow the challenge theme...it also really helps if you can tell us where you've used them, for example, coloured with Promarkers...

Lines used : Ribbon, Paper piecing, Pearls  -  Die Cuts, Image, Pearls  -  Paper piecing, Image, Spots/stripes

We were lucky enough to get an image to play with and I picked out the pretty Sunshine and Showers...perfectly typical of our British weather! I used up some more papers from my scrap drawers (although they're still not getting any lower!) and created a sentiment in Photoshop that coordinates with the theme of the image.

I added in some die cut clouds, grosgrain ribbon, gems, pearls and a touch of glitter. I paper pieced her dress bodice and decoupaged her fringe and the foremost cloud, for a bit of dimension...

I hope you can find the time to play along with my fun challenge this week and look forward to seeing all of your wonderful creations...I'm off to work, so will be back later to have a nosy round the internet...Have a terrific Tuesday, whatever you're up to!

Passion for Promarkers - Use Orange...

Good afternoon, crafty friends! It's Tuesday, which means a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers! The lovely Julie is in the hostess chair and she's given us a colour challenge of 'Use Orange'...so she would like to see the colour orange featuring somewhere on your creations (it can be as much or little as you like)...
We're being sponsored by Colour of Love who are offering one lucky winner a choice of 3 digital images from their online store...
https://www.colourofloveshop.com/

Just remember that to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you must use your Letraset/Winsor & Newton mediums and follow the challenge theme...good luck!

We were lucky enough to get an image to play with and I picked out the ever so pretty Cosmos and decided to decorate another notebook...
The papers are all scraps from my scrap drawers (I NEED to use more of these as they're starting to get rather full!) and I added some grosgrain and polka dot ribbon for a touch of softness.

I coloured Cosmos with my Pro/Flexmarkers, plus a few Spectrum Noir greens and added some Stickles and crystal glitter to her wings. I added some photo corners in a textured vintage gold and the 'notes' banner, cut with my Sizzix alphabet dies. I found a pretty filigree metal corner in one of my embellishment boxes and added this, along with a few sprinkles of flat sequins, pearl roses and pearls.

Colour List -
Flowers - Gold, Pumpkin, Bright Orange, Sunset
Leaves - SN Willow, Bamboo, Camo Green
Skin - Blush, Dusky Pink, Coral
Hair - Sandstone, Caramel, Cocoa
Dress - Satin, Soft Peach
Wings - Pastel Green, Soft Green

Despite my crafty mojo going AWOL at the moment, I have been doing other things...on Saturday, I went out and foraged some wild strawberries to make Strawberry muffins (they were DELICIOUS!) and yesterday, hubby and I went picking gooseberries and I've made gooseberry jam, plus a big pan of broccoli and Stilton soup!

I also have something exciting to share with you, but I'll do that in another post...for now, enjoy the rest of your day and if you find a crafty MOJO lurking in the cupboard or under the bed somewhere, can you please chastise it and send it home!

Passion for Promarkers - Blue and Yellow...

Good afternoon, crafty friends! Today sees the start of a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and the lovely Shelly has given us a colour theme of 'Blue and Yellow'...we will of course allow other colours to be added in, but as long as the predominant colour scheme is blue and yellow...
We're being sponsored by Star Jam Lines who are offering one lucky winner a choice of 2 digital images from their online store...and there's lots of lovely images to choose from!

https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/StarJamLines

Don't forget, to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you must use your Winsor & Newton/Letraset mediums and follow the challenge theme...

For my design team make, I decided to play with something different and create a decorated notebook using the pretty 'Floral Bouquet'...I tried to use papers that were from my scrap drawers (as they are starting to get rather full!) but the honeycomb one is a little sneak peek at something that will be available in the next couple of days! I have to say, blue and yellow isn't a combo that I would naturally go for (being a pink gal when it comes to crafting) but I love the way it turned out and it was a refreshing change to use another colour palette...it's all about getting out of that comfort zone!

I still have a few more of these notebooks to decorate and should have a lovely range of styles and colourways when I'm finished...but for now, the housework is calling and I've been putting it off as long as possible, plus I have a load of wood to order and about half a dozen card orders to fulfill - so what am I doing here then?!!

Have a totally terrific Tuesday, whatever you're up to and I hope you can find the time to play along with our fun challenge this week!

Crafty hugs,
