Passion for Promarkers - I {heart} you...

This card came in the Top 3 at Come and Get It Challenges
This card was also the chosen winner and DT Favourite at Craft Rocket Challenges
THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!

Good morning again, dear Blogger friends and I hope you're having a totally terrific Tuesday! You know what this means?!...Yep! It's the start of a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers!
This week it's the lovely Shelly in the hostess chair and she's chosen a topical theme of 'I {heart} you!' So rather than a specific love or Valentine's themed creation, we would like to see anything with a heart on it...this could be heart die cuts, an image holding a heart or even heart backing paper...
Don't forget to be in with a chance of wining the prize, which is a fantastic Promarkers set courtesy of Cowling & Wilcox (my favourite place to buy Promarkers) you MUST use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products and of course, follow the challenge theme! It would also help massively if you could state which products you've used and where, for example, 'coloured with Promarkers'.
I decided to get ahead and create hubby's Valentine's card using the super cute Look at Me Lolly from Angie's Digi Store. I went into heart overload and had lolly peeking out from behind a pretty lacy heart that is from a lovely die set that my sister got for my birthday...
I used my GoKreate Frilly Frames #2 for the card base - one of my all time favourites for shaped cards and the papers were all from in my scrap drawers.
Lolly was coloured using my Pro/Flexmarkers - Tan, Caramel, Cinnamon, Umber, Linen, Vanilla, Champagne
I was rather brave (or stupid!) and decided to add some doodles once my card was finished, but I feel it just finished it off.
I hope you can find the time to join in with our challenge this week and look forward to seeing all of your fabulous creations! Don't forget to hop over to the Passion for Promarkers blog to see what my talented teamies have created for your inspiration and to enter...
Hugs,
Lisa x

Key to my heart...

Hi guys! Hope you've had a good week - it's been half term week, so I've been busy trying to catch up with housework and entertain a nine year old! I thought I would share the Valentine's card I made for DH...

I went for a  CAS design (really liking this look at the minute and takes less time too :P) I arranged the text in PS and added the attic key die cut and whimsy heart, my last piece of red polka dot ribbon (I must love him!) and a few gem hearts and I was done!
I'm trying to post from my tablet to see if it takes less time, but haven't figured out all the settings yet, so I haven't really got a clue how this post will turn out, hence the shortness and lack of piccies. When I post from my PC, it takes forever for me to import pics from camera, crop and resize, arrange and think of text to write...I just need a couple more hours in a day and I'd be okay! Thanks for dropping by to see me, Lisa x

Update : don't like blogger app! Much easier to use blogger through Chrome on my tab - I can position pics where I want and resize, so maybe I'll get used to posting from my tab?!

My craft room...

Hi guys,

I am uber busy at the moment doing design work for my next project and don't want to stop whilst I am on a roll and the creative juices are flowing - hence the shortage of posts yet again!  I am sorry!  Instead, I decided to update you on the progress of organising my craft area and just look at the result...

...I have to say, it's not always this tidy, but as I was hoping, in between crafting moments I can take 10 minutes and put everything away...plus, I know where everything is!!!  I know, it's not normal, and if I had spun around 360 degrees and taken a pic of the other side of the room, it would look a lot different to this! I am contemplating saving up and getting some more cabinets so that I can tidy away all DH's computer and electronic stuff (which is what I was talking about on the other side of the room!)  but until then, I have to be content with my tidy half of the craft/work/supposed to be dining room!

Well, I do have a card to share with you...

I made this little easel drawer after seeing Rachel's version that she made for her grandparents at Christmas.  I wanted to do something with Valentine's Day in mind and just loved Shy Valentine Nessa over at Mo Mannings shop and had to have her!  I coloured using PS (though I am seriously considering buying a set of Promarkers - I know, I know, where have I been?!)  The little drawer would be lovely lined and filled with expensive chocolates, or jewellry, what the heck, I'll have both!  The flowers were from in my stash, though I have invested in some paper roses from WOC, just haven't had chance to make something for fun with them yet!  Once again, designing takes over my life - when I'm not ironing that is!  I'm sure the neighbours are sneaking theirs in when I'm not looking, the pile seems to be never ending!  I am determined to sit at my now empty table and create something just for the heck of it, maybe once the kids are in bed I might get to play...until next time, Happy Crafting!
