Passion for Promarkers - Gorgeous Ginghams and Perfect Plaids...

http://craftycatzweeklychallenge.blogspot.co.uk/
This card was chosen as Top 3 over at Crafty Catz challenge blog...thank you so much!

Good morning, Blogger buddies! It's the start of a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers today, which I am playing host for...I have set a nice, easy theme of 'Gorgeous Ginghams and Perfect Plaids', so there's no excuse to play along!  We're being sponsored by Dies to Die For, who are offering one lucky winner a £15.00 voucher to their store...how generous is that?!
I decided to use another of the pretty flower vase images that Sally Ann so kindly offered for Team 1's last challenge and went with a fresh Spring colour scheme of orange and greens...
...I had originally cut the image out with an oval die, but it just didn't look right somehow, so out came the scissors and I fussy cut around the tulip vase - which wasn't too fiddly, to be honest. The papers are a mix of what was in my stash - I desperately need to use up some more of my paper scarps, as my drawers are getting rather full!  All the edges were inked with Walnut Stain and I added a bit of doodling around the base layer, once again risking it by doing it at the last minute when I thought that there was 'something missing'!
Right, I'd best be off...I've got a mad busy day today, heck I've got a mad busy week...following on from a mad busy weekend...I'll be glad of the Easter break! Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday and can find the time to play along with my simple challenge this week!
Hugs,
I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges :
Floral Frenzy closes tomorrow
Anything Goes until 4th April
Anything Goes optional Easter until 29th

Workshop cards...

Good morning, Blogger buddies! I know...it's a bit of a shock to see me here between challenges these days, especially with my crafty motivation being at an all time low, but I thought I would pop in and share the cards that we made at workshop on Saturday...
We started with a nice, simple wedding/anniversary card, using pastel papers and embossing for texture...and then we got all inky!...
...I love the way these turned out and thoroughly enjoyed starting with a blank piece of white card and adding layers of inking and stencilling to create a unique background...don't know why I don't do it more often?!
I'd like to enter my butterfly cards into the following challenges :
Y for Your Choice closes tomorrow
Layer it Up closes tomorrow
Hot or Cold colours (I have one of each!) closes 20th
(If my card doesn't qualify because I haven't used an image, please feel free to leave me out of the draw!)
Anything Goes closes 26th

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday, whatever you're doing...and maybe even find the time to get a little bit crafty!
Hugs,

Passion for Promarkers - Cats or Dogs...

Good afternoon, dear blogger buddies! Hope you're all keeping warm on this cold and snowy Tuesday? I'm hoping that this is going to be the last of Winter and that Spring is soon on it's way...fingers crossed!
Due to the icy conditions, I have been sat at my crafty table today, making up  batch cards for selling, but I'll share those again...for now, it's the start of a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and the lovely Hazel has set us a fun theme of Cats and/or Dogs...so whether it's doggy images or kitty papers, we want to see our canine and feline friends!
We are being sponsored by Dr Digis House of Stamps who are offering one lucky winner 2 digital images of their choice...
We were lucky enough to get an image to play with and I chose 'Sofa So Good'...
I coloured up this fun image with my Pro/Flexmarkers and paper pieced the sofa with patterned paper, then rifled through my scrap drawers to try and find some papers to match...don't think I will ever learn to pick my papers THEN colour my image?!  I desperately need to use up some of my  scraps too, as the drawers are starting to get rather full now and I hate to throw any of them away!
Right, off to rustle something up for tea as I am so late in posting my DT card! Have a totally terrific Tuesday and I hope you can join in with our fun challenge this week!
Crafty hugs,
I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges :

Passion for Promarkers - Add an embellishment...

Good morning, crafty friends and a happy Tuesday to you all! It's the start of a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and this week the lovely Sue has given us an easy, peasy challenge theme of 'Add an embellishment', so hopefully we'll see lots of you playing along...
We're being sponsored by Digistamp Boutique who are offering one lucky winner a £10.00 voucher to their online store (which you should have no trouble spending!)
https://www.digistampboutique.co.uk/catalog/index.php

The lovely Sally Ann was generous to offer us an image of our choosing to play with and I went with the ever so cute 'Tweet Hearts' collection...
I also took the opportunity to make a card for hubby, for Valentine's Day...see, there's method in my madness!
I coloured Tweet with my Pro/Flexmarkers and decoupaged his head for a bit of added dimension. I used black mats to make the layers pop and for a touch of masculinity...and I couldn't resist adding a couple of those cute cloud dies, well, just because!  Some ribbon loops and a few gems and pearls constituted for my embellishments and I used one of the sentiments that came in the set too.
Hope you like my cute Valentine's Day card and I look forward to seeing what creations you all come up with!
Crafty hugs,
I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges :
Anything Goes until 21st

Passion for Promarkers - Photo inspiration...

Good morning, Blogger buddies and a happy Tuesday to you all! We have a brand new challenge starting over at Passion for Promarkers and the lovely Shelly has given us an inspirational photo theme...
You can choose to interpret the photo however you like, whether it be the colour combinations, patterns or subject matter...and if someone could please arrange for those cupcakes to be delivered to my house before the end of the day, I'd be much obliged! :D
We're being sponsored by Lacy Sunshine who are offering one lucky winner 3 digi images of their choice...

Now, I made a bit of a boo boo when picking my sponsor image for this week's challenge, as I didn't look at the theme before choosing and ended up with a boy's digi 'Joey' to work with?!...I could've changed it, but decided not to chicken out and have a go, so this is what I came up with...
I picked out the colours of the berries and mint leaves and the polka dot pattern of the cupcake wrapper, then mounted everything onto black, like in the photo. I kept my card quite CAS, as I'm definitely more into this style at the moment and added a few sprinkles - something I was always inspired by the talented Lou Mac's cards of days past...
I hope you can find the time to play along with our fun challenge this week and look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations!
Hugs,
I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges :
Buttons and/or Bows closes today
Anything Goes closes 5th Feb
Anything Goes closes today
Anything Goes/ Something New closes 1st Feb
(I have used a new digistamp)

https://craftycatzweeklychallenge.blogspot.co.uk/
Good morning, Blogger buddies! Another Tuesday rolls around, which means it's time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers! This week it's the talented Nic (aka Coops) in the hostess chair and she's given us a topical theme of 'Something New'...so whether it's New stash, a New Baby or even a New Home project, we want to see it!
We are being sponsored by the lovely Little Miss Muffet Stamps, who are offering one lucky winner a $6.00 voucher to their online store...don't forget, to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you must use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) mediums, follow the challenge theme and link back to the Passion for Promarkers challenge blog...
No automatic alt text available.
We were lucky enough to choose an image to work with and I chose the sweet Babe from above...
I decided to go pink and girly...oh, what a surprise?!...
The card has an acetate front and I used my Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud border dies to create the card top and bottom. I coloured and fussy cut the image, added some fine, pink satin ribbon, a couple of clouds from Animal Antics embellishments and a sprinkling of buttons and pearls...just because!  I used the pink lace paper from A Year in cards September set for the inside and stamped (I know?!) my Congratulations sentiment using Versafine Black ink.
Right, it's time to regroup and clear my crafty table, as it has been piling up with stuff for this card and workshops makes for Saturday...don't think I even have a 4 inch square to work in at the moment?! Hope you can find time to join in with our fun challenge this week and I look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations!

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges :
