Passion for Markers - Spring...

Good morning, crafty buddies and a Happy Tuesday to you all! We have a brand new challenge starting today over at Passion for Markers with the lovely Julie choosing a topical theme of 'Spring'...so we'd like to see all of those Springtime elements like bunnies, lambs, Spring flowers, etc...

We're being sponsored by Alex Syberia Designs who are offering one lucky winner a $10 gift voucher to spend on digital products from their online store...

We were lucky enough to get an image to play with and I went with the ever so pretty Dog Rose set which gives you the main image and 3 variations of slimline card panel...

I coloured the image with my Pro/Flexmarkers, fussy cutting with a border and adding a decoupage layer on the flowers. For a change I managed to write down a colour list for you, so here goes -

Flowers - Blender, Pale Pink, Baby Pink, Dusky Rose, Buttercup, Sunflower
Leaves - Pear Green, Moss, Pesto, Apple, Forest Green
Hips - Soft Peach, Rose Peach, Sunset, Tan, Pear Green

I kept the card in my favourite CAS style and opted for a DL layout, inking the card front where the image would sit with Broken China Distress Oxide and splattering with my paintbrush. I added a strip of pink dotty paper and scalloped rectangle to mat the pretty script sentiment, then simply finished with some pearls and a touch of crystal glitter on the stamens...how easy?!...

I hope you can find the time to play along with our challenge this week and look forward to seeing all of your Sringtime makes...

Passion for Markers - Colours of Spring...

Hello there, crafty friends! Another Tuesday arrives with the start of a brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers. The lovely Sue is in the hostess chair with a topical theme (or it would be if Mother Nature hadn't decided to turn the thermostat down!?!) of 'Colours of Spring'...for me, Spring is primroses, magnolia and pale blue skies but as long as you use colours that evoke Spring to you and remember to use your markers, then you'll be in with a chance of winning this week's prize!

We're being sponsored by Dies to Die For and they are kindly offering one lucky winner a £15.00 voucher to spend in their online store...

For my card I used a new to me stamp set from Simon Says Stamp called Sketched Flowers...those destash sites are dangerous!...

I coloured up with my Pro/Flexmarkers and gold embossed one of the sentiment stamps, keeping the card clean and simple with the image being the star of the show! I mat onto a panel of gold and added just a couple of flags, gems and a touch of glitter to embellish...

If I can find my colour list, I'll post it up, but there is a number of lists on my desk and not one of them has been labelled as to what it coloured?! One step forward, two steps back!

I hope you can find the time to play along with our challenge this week and look forward to seeing all of your wonderful Spring inspired creations!...

Workshop makes...

Good afternoon, crafty buddies...well, this is a rarity! A post between challenges!...

I must hold my hands up and admit to having neglected my little corner of Blogland for a while, but these days life seems to get in the way of everything else and like most people, time is a scarce resource to be used wisely! I am hoping to find a way to be able to create one post here and then edit to other social media platforms, but I don't know if it will work...or even if I have the staying power?!! Ha, ha!...

But for now, I have the projects that we created at last weekend's workshop to share with you...

First up we made a little post it note holder with a Summery vibe and embossed heart strawberries...

Next up was a pretty sunflower card which was inspired by a make I saw on Pinterest, created by Papertrey Ink HERE...I just loved the aqua and yellow colour combination and keep telling myself that I must try to use more than just pink in my crafting!

Thanks for dropping by and I hope to be able to share more craftiness with you in the future...fingers crossed!

Passion for Markers - Things with Wings...

Good morning, dear crafty friends! I hope you're all well and enjoying the Spring weather (if a little on the chilly side?!)...

I'm popping in this morning to let you all know about our brand new challenge which starts today over at Passion for Markers...the lovely Marlene is in the hostess chair with a topical theme of 'Things with Wings' - with the recent sunshine, there has been a definite increase in activity with winged beasts of all varieties!

We're being sponsored by Di's Digi Stamps who are offering one lucky winner a $6.00 voucher to spend in their online store...just remember to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you MUST use markers (of any variety) somewhere on your creation and follow the challenge theme...Good Luck!

For my card I used a new to me stamp from Stampavie called Blossom Birds...

 I coloured in using my Pro/Flexmarkers -

Birds - Putty, Tan, Cinnamon, Primrose, Buttercup, Blue Pearl
Flowers - Blender, Pale Pink, Dusky Rose, Antique Pink, Buttercup, Mustard, Sandstone
Leaves and branch - Soft Khaki, Pear Green, Olive Green, Umber
Outer shadow - Pastel Blue

I wanted to keep my card pretty simple and dug out my Taylored Expessions Leafy Vine embossing folder for the background...it's funny how I go through spells of not using something for a long time, as I haven't used my embossing folders for ages!...I added a strip of polka dot green paper and mat the image onto a fresh, sky blue coloured scalloped rectangle. I embellished with some die cut flowers and leaves, a pretty sentiment, some blue pearls and a touch of gold glitter on the flower stamens...et voila!

I hope you can find the time to play along with our fun challenge this week and look forward to seeing all of your wonderful creations!

Passion for Markers - Add some flowers...

Hi there, crafty friends! Another brand new challenge starts today over at Passion for Markers with the lovely Marie in the hostess chair and she'd like you to 'Add some flowers'...so it could be floral papers, images, die cuts or embellishments...

We're being sponsored by Colour of Love who are offering one lucky winner a choice of 3 digital images from their online store...

Just remember that to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you must use markers somewhere on your project and it really helps if you let us know where you've used them!

We were lucky enough to get an image to play with and I picked out 'Rory's Poppy Bouquet'...

I tried to go with a colour scheme that was different to my usual pink tones, colouring her in with my Pro/Flexmarkers and have to apologise again that I didn't write the colour list down (*note to self*...must try to be more organised - not just in crafting but in life in general?!)

I used papers from my stash and stamped some extra flowers from a Cardmaking Magic set, adding in some die cut leaves from the same set. A simple sentiment and some tiny gems for her necklace finished everything off...

I hope you can find the time to play along with our floral challenge this week (and if you do, could you send some my way as crafty time is rather sparse these days!) I look forward to seeing all of your wonderful creations too...

Passion for Markers - Use Die Cuts...

Good morning, crafty friends! Well it's the last day of January (how did that happen?!) and time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers...

The lovely Lorraine is in the hostess chair with an easy theme of 'Use Die Cuts'...I know for me that it's very rare to create a card without a single die cut, so this one is super easy! We're being sponsored by Alex Syberia, who are new to the Passion for Markers family and have a great selection of pretty florals, fun and quirky images. They're offering one lucky winner a £10 voucher to spend on digital images/files in their online store...

We were lucky enough to get an image to play with and I picked out Love U Giraffe...

I coloured up the Giraffe with my Pro/Flexmarkers :

Champagne, Sandstone, Cappuccino, Shale, Umber

Cool Aqua, Duck egg, Surf Blue

I wanted some foliage but found that die cut leaves didn't work well with the image, so stamped out some leaves from a Making Magic stamp set, coloured in Meadow Green, Apple and Forest Green and fussy cut laving a white border.

The papers and frame were from my ever increasing (instead of decreasing!) scrap drawers and the sentiment is from a Waffle Flower set. I added some die cut hydrangea flowers (from Lady E) and finished with a few pearls and a touch of glitter...

I am trying to use up scraps and elements that I already have cut from other projects but it still doesn't seem to make a dent in the amount of off cuts and bits that I have! I keep threatening a purge and maybe one of these days I'll have to just shut my eyes and fill the recycling bin?!...

I hope you can find the time to play along with our fun challenge this week and look forward to seeing all of your wonderful creations!

Passion for Markers - Going Dotty...

Good morning, crafty friends! Another Tuesday rolls around (rather quickly, I hasten to add!) which means that it's time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers!

This week I'm playing hostess and have picked out one of my favourite themes of 'Going Dotty'...so I'd like to see those dots and spots on your creations - whether it be dotty paper, dotty ribbon, embossed dots or dots on your images, then get them on your projects!

We're being sponsored by All Dressed Up Stamps who are offering one lucky winner a choice of 2 digital images from their online store...and there's lots to choose from!

I picked out the cute 'Birthday Monkey'...although he seems to have disappeared from the store just now, but I'm sure you could request him if you wanted!...

I coloured him up with my Pro/Flexmarkers and added some die cut leaves to the branches. I used dotty paper, embossed dot details and gave him some dots on his tummy and feet using peel off border waste. I am STILL trying to use up some of my ever growing scraps, although it seems to be a losing battle and I may have to have a purge soon! I added some die cut clouds because...well, why do I need a reason?!...and stamped the sentiment onto the larger, then finished with some red gems for berries and a touch of Glossy Accents on his nose...

I hope you can play along with my fun challenge this week and look forward to seeing all of your wonderful creations!
