Chasing my tail...

Ever had one of those days where you feel like you are chasing your tail?  Well, I've had a week of it!  I don't know why, but it just seems that I finish one job only to find there are 3 more waiting to be done!  So this morning, I decided to shut my eyes to the pile of ironing and breakfast dishes in the sink, and sit down to create a card to share with all you lovely people...
...I made this using one of the digi stamps available in my online shop - it's called Grapevine and has 2 different sentiment versions (this one and one saying 'Men are like wine - some turn to vinegar but the best improve with age')...
...I coloured the image using Promarkers :
GRAPES - Prussian, Purple, Amethyst, Blender for highlights
LEAVES - Moss, Khaki, Pastel Beige
BOTTLE - Olive, Forest, Grass, Leaf Green, Lime Zest
BOTTLE TOP - Burgundy, Cardinal, Ruby, pale Pink
LABEL - Gold, Mustard, Vanilla, Ivory
WINE GLASS - Burgundy, Cardinal, Ruby, Antique Pink, Tea Green, Cool Grey 1
The paper in the background is also one of mine, it has wine labels all over and is available here.  I used the Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace PATP for the matt underneath the image and all edges were inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I embellished with the corner and scroll dies from the Parisian Accents Spellbinders set and black diamantes and small ivory pearls.  I added a touch of Crystal Glitter to the leaves and Glossy Accents to the wine glass...
...I used the paper again to create an insert, dropping the opacity to about 35% and adding a soft edged, white circle and the wordart sentiment that comes in the Grapevine set.  Suppose I'd better be off to get some dinner and the housework done before the monsters get home!  Hope you like my creation and thanks for dropping by!
Before I go, a big HELLO and thank you to my lovely new followers Lizy, Karen (see you Saturday) and Kathy B (nearly up to 50!)  It's always wonderful to think that you like my work enough to follow my little blog and I hope you find inspiration in what I do...

Going Live!

This post is a sticky post and will stay on top until Monday 16th April 2012

Firstly, I'd just like to say a big 'hello' and thank you to Patsy my newest follower...number 42!!

Secondly...drumroll please...I have published my online store where you can purchase my digistamps, card designs and papercraft discs!!  I had to bite the bullet in the end and just go for it, or it would never get online!  I'm hoping that everything is running okay, but please be patient if there are some first time glitches!

I'm so nervous about it all, wondering whether anyone will like my designs and hoping that everything goes smoothly, but it is something I feel I have to at least try!  To be honest, I am quite scared about the prospect of it all, but I suppose you have to face your demons and take life by the horns!  So fingers, toes, eyes, arms, legs and everything else crossed that all goes to plan!!

Available to purchase and download are predesigned card kits, digital stamps, precoloured images and my papercraft discs - Plush Pals, Boys2Men and 12 Cards of Christmas.  There is a Gallery of some of the cards I have made using the images and I'll be posting more in the future...it is still a working project that I hope to expand as I go - I'd love if you could pop over and have a look and hope that anyone who purchases my designs enjoy using them!  Lisa X

Passion for Promarkers WOW...

Passion for Pomarkers scheme this week is White on White (WOW), so I challenged myself to have a go and came up with this creation...
...whenever it comes to white on white, all I can say is thank goodness for embossing folders!  I used old faithful, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and I think the other is Houndstooth?  The border and ornate frame dies are from my new Parisian Accents set from Spellbinders and I extended the frame using one of the corner dies, then tied a miniature silver spoon and white organza ribbon to it...
...The image is one of my own, called Ice Cream Sundae and is available in my online shop.   I coloured my image with Promarkers and added a touch of Glamourdust and Glossy Accents to highlight.  I finished by embellishing with my favourite small pearls (these get everywhere!).  Hope you like it and thanks for popping by, Lisa X

A card to share, at last!

Good afternoon, everyone and a Happy Easter to you all!  Well, it's school holidays and with the boys at home, I always find it diifcult to find time for crafting... the week has passed by in a haze of cleaning, washing, hoovering and picking up after 2 messy boys!  I have had a few card orders to fulfill too, so my hands have not been idle!  This creation has taken about 3 days in all due to children's Good Friday Service, flower arranging in church for Easter, a kid's party and the usual grind..so here's what I made...

...I treated myself to some new nesties whilst ordering some more Promarkers - they just happened to fall into my basket!:)  The image is another of my own which will be available in my eshop, as soon as I can get it finished...who'd have thought it could be so complicated and time consuming to create a web shop?!  Not me, that's for sure...in my naiveity, I thought it would just be a case of uploading them and adding pics...if only!  Anyway, going off on a tangent...
...My image is called Golden Oldies and is coloured with Promarkers, cut with standard oval nestie and mounted onto my new Floral Oval nesties - nearly sent these back as I found it so hard to get the shape out of the die, but good old tumble dryer sheets came to the rescue!
...The border die is also new and from the Parisian Accents set - love it!  All the papers were just scraps from my stash and all edges were inked with either Walnut or Vintage Photo Distress Inks, or both!  Flowers are a mix of roses and chrysanths from WOC and the little blossoms are made using a flower punch.  I finished with a couple of decorative pins, Marianne swirls, organza bow and pearls...and what's this, no glitter?!  (Well, there is a touch on the pearl centre of the bow!)...
...I decorated the inside with coordinating papers and an oval for writing a sentiment.  So there we have it, something to share, at last!  Hope you like it and thanks for dropping by, enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend!   Lisa X
