Passion for Promarkers - Christmas in July...

Good morning, dear Blogger buddies and a Happy Tuesday to you all! Well, it seems that if my motivation to craft was rather low, it is now virtually non existant now that the Summer holidays have started! My time is spent clearing up after, feeding and trying to entertain a bored 12 year old! Plus it looks like Mother Nature is against us aswell and the weather has turned to it's usual British Summer default of grey skies and drizzle...the holidays are rather long when you're cooped up in a 3 bed semi!
But anyway, just to cheer you up, I'm here to share my DT card for this week's Passion for Promarkers challenge...yay! This time we have the lovely Hazel in the hostess chair and she has chosen a theme of 'Christmas in July'...Now I struggle to do Christmas cards at the best of times - I think because we start doing them in September for our workshops - plus I don't do Christmas until the 1st December! We are being sponsored by the fabulous A Day for Daisies and they're offering one lucky winner a $12.00 voucher to their store...
We were lucky enough to choose an image to play with, so I went with Little Cats Christmas...
...I pfaffed around with this card so much, trying to add different embellishments and promptly decided to take them all off again, as anything else detracted from the sweet little kitties! So my card ended up very CAS with just a bit of Glossy Accents on the fairy lights and dare I say it...a peel off sentiment!...
...I would've liked to do some doodling on my card (inspired by Shelly's amazing doodles!) but I'm not brave enough to just go for it yet and I can never remember to do it before sticking everything together!
I need to get my finger out and get some stock ready as I'm having a stall at the Meirioneth Show at Rhug on Wednesday 24th August!  I'm creating some pebble art pictures and bag/key charms using sea glass from the Cardigan Bay coast plus I need to bulk up my cards and try and think of some other crafty items to sell!  Wish me luck and if you have a bit of crafty motivation, can you please send some my way?!
Thanks for dropping by! Hugs,
Lisa x

Passion for Promarkers - Summer Days...

...Now that's wishful thinking!?!  Summer seems to have deserted us just now in place of dreary, grey skies and drizzle!  Our May spell of nice weather seems such a long time away now...let's hope the Summer holidays is a better affair!
Well, another Tuesday has come around again...though I'm sure somebody has put us on x2 fast forward as they seem to be coming around much quicker...we have a new challenge starting over at Passion for Promarkers and the lovely Julie has given us a theme of 'Summer Days'...think maybe sunshine and beaches, and ice cream, or all three...
...This week we are being sponsored by the wonderful Digistamp Boutique, who are offering one lucky winner a £10 voucher to their store...which I'm sure you'll have no problem in spending!  The lovely Sally Ann gave us a choice of image to work with, so I went with Rosie and Ice Cream...isn't she a cutie?!...
...I decided to go with ice cream, pastel tones and paper pieced Rosie's dress too.  She was coloured with my Pro/Flexmarkers - want the colour list?  Then here it is :
Skin - Blush, Dusky Pink, Coral (my favourite skin combo)
Hair - Sandstone, Caramel, Cocoa
Hairband and trousers - Blue Pearl, Cornflower, China Blue
Dress - Gold, Mustard, Blender
Bucket - Cerise, Shocking Pink, Vermilllion (love this bright pink combo)
Shoes and spade - Meadow Green, Apple
Sand - Linen, Champagne, Tan
Of course, I HAD to add a few clouds and a pretty twine bow and button to finish off. So, that's it!  What are you waiting for?  Why not get out your Letraset pens and join in?  If we can't have Summer outside, we can surely have it in our crafting!! Don't forget to check out what my talented teamies have been cmaking for your inspiration over at the Passion for Promarkers blog and I look forward to being cheered up by all your sunny creations!
Have a terrific Tuesday, hugs,
Lisa x

Oh, nuts!...

Good afternoon, my dear blogging friends and  totally terrific Thursday to you all too! Just thought I'd pop in and show you the latest card kit to hit the shelves in my new Etsy store (https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/ellasdesignwales)...
...I'm really pleased with how this little squirrel turned out...
...The card kit has a few different sentiments with corresponding printed inserts.  'Oh, NUTS!' and the insert reads 'I forgot your Birthday'.  'Go NUTS!' - 'It's your Birthday' and then there's 'Have a NUTTY Birthday' and a blank insert in case you want to change the sentiment for one of your own or personalise it.
Hugs,

I've opened an Etsy store!...

Good afternoon, dear crafting buddies! So, what's new?!  Well....it looks like I've gone and opened myself an Etsy store to sell my digital card and paper kits!! (https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/ellasdesignwales)...It has been on my list of things to do for AGES, but I always lose confidence and make any excuse to never get round to it...but it's done and I'm now hoping that it is a success...uh oh, is that the voice of doubt creeping back in?!
I have wrangled over which way to go with my design work, as CDs just take so long to produce - by which time I have lost all faith in my designs and want to change them all! (I know, we are always our own worst critic!)...
...So here's a quick peek at some of the new predesigned card kits...

...They're priced at just £1.80 each (something else I wrangled with!) and contain 2 A4 elements sheets that make up one layered and decoupaged card and one flat printed card - although the decoupage can be spread over them both if you like and because the kit is in layers, you can change up the layout or add in extra embellishments such as ribbon, etc  There's also a printed insert and different variations where needed.

There's a couple of paper collections that contain 12 papers in each, corresponding with the papers that are on the predesigned cards...
This set is the papers from the Birdhouse, Beach and Sundae cards.
This set is the papers from the Better Things, Grapevine and Rose cards.
These are £2.40 for a set of 12 papers, so I'm hoping good value for money?!
I am so hoping that this little venture turns out ot be a good one, as many of my crafty buddies know it is so hard to make any sort of money from crafting, but needs must...either that or I'm off to find a job!?! I would be so grateful if you could spread the word about my little shop and cross my fingers that people like my designs...
Hugs,
Lisa x
