Passion for Markers - Spots and/or stripes 13th Anniversary challenge

Good morning, crafty friends...these Tuesdays sure are coming around at speed!

It's time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers and this week it's a special one as it's our 13th Anniversary challenge! Denise has picked the challenge this week with a super simple theme of 'Spots and/or Stripes'...for me this is one of the easiest themes as it is rare for me not to use one or the other on my cards!

We have multiple sponsors this week with some fabulous prizes up for grabs!

Dies to Die For are offering a £20.00 voucher

------------------------------

Crafty Sentiments Designs are offering 3 digi images

------------------------------

Leann’s World 101 are offering one lucky winner 2 digi images

------------------------------

All Dressed Up stamps are offering 2 digi images

------------------------------

Uniko Stamps are offering 1 stamp set (which must be in stock)

------------------------------

Di’s Digi Stamps are offering a $6.00 voucher

------------------------------

Polkadoodles are offering 3 digi images

------------------------------

Colour of Love digis are offering 3 digi images

------------------------------

Sheepski Designs are offering 3 digi images

------------------------------

For my card I picked out an old Digistamp Boutique image called Harry with Beer and thought I would use it to make hubby's birthday card (which is TODAY...Happy Birthday to my best friend and my rock!)...

As hubby is not a very big beer drinker, I changed up the beer bottle that was in his hand for a more appropriate mug of tea! (We must be getting old?!) I used some paper strips from my scrap drawers and kept my card clean and simple, although I was going to add a bit of an inked background but stuck the paper on first without thinking! (Definitely getting old?!)

I coloured Harry with my Pro/Flexmarkers :

Skin - Blush, Sunkissed Pink, Coral
Hair - Storm Cloud, Cool Grey 5, Black
T Shirt - Denim, Blue, Cadet Blue, Cool Grey 1
Mug - Pebble Blue, Tea Green, Nutmeg, Sandstone

I used my favourite WOW! Happy Sentiments set and the cheers stamp was from a freebie with SC&P, then finished with some coloured gem sprinkles...

Crafty time is rather scarce at the moment...although so is time to do anything other than the essentials, to be honest! My craft room is like a bomb site and I keep getting tempted to have a major purge and get rid of a LOT of stuff, but then chicken out in case I may NEED it sometime?! The only thing when you're a maker is that you can see potential in everything and find it so hard to just let things go...but maybe one of these days...maybe?! Organised life, organised mind and all that?!...

I hope that YOU can find the time to play along with our celebratory challenge this week and look forward to seeing all of the wonderful creations that you share...and don't forget that BOTH Teams are sharing creations this week to give you plenty of inspiration too!

Passion for Markers - Animal Magic...

Good morning, crafty buddies! It's Tuesday, which means it's time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers...

It's my turn to host this week and I've picked a fun theme of 'Amial Magic', so I'd like to see all of your creations with animals on...these can be the main design image or an accompanying animal as in my DT card...

We're being sponsored by Di's Digi Stamps who are offering one lucky winner a $6 voucher to their online store...

For my card, I pulled out an image from one of my all time favourite designers who sadly no longer trade, Digi Stamp Boutique - I just love the Rosie and Dan characters and picked out this one of Dan Fishing with his frog friend...

I coloured Dan with my Pro/Flexmarkers but sadly forgot to write a colour list, but if I would have to hazard a guess, I would say:

Skin : Blush, Disky Pink, Sunkissed Pink, Coral
Hair - Pastel Yellow, Champagne, Sandstone, Caramel
Top shadows - Cool Grey 2
Jeans - Patel Blue, Arctic Blue, Celestial Blue, Cobalt Blue, China Blue
Frog - Apple, Chartreuse, Lime Green
Quay - Sandstone, Caramel, Cinnamon, Umber,
Fish - Mustard, Gold, Honeycomb
...(I think!)

I picked out some papers from my scrap drawers (which I need to make a concerted effort to try and use up before I have to have a major cull) that contained the majority of colours in the image...now I know most people would say that it would be easier to pick out the papers and then colour the image accordingly, but my brain doesn't work like that?! Hence the scrap drawers full to bursting point!

I added a pop of orange in the two fishtail flags and finished off with some buttons and stars and an Avery Elle sentiment...

I hope you can find the time to play along with my fun challenge this week and look forward to seeing all of your wonderful creations...

I decided to revisit an oldie image this week and picked out one of the lovely Digistamp Boutique Rosie images to use...
I just love this little cutie and she is so easy to colour! I teamed her up with some papers that I had received from the lovely Denise called Country Drive, from Echo park (love the Spring colours and there's even a paper with bees on...I mean, c'mon!) I coloured Rosie with my Pro/Flexmarkers...do you want a colour list?...okay, here goes :
Skin - Blush, Dusky Pink, Coral (my old faithful combo!)

Passion for Promarkers - Gorgeous Ginghams and Perfect Plaids...

http://craftycatzweeklychallenge.blogspot.co.uk/
This card was chosen as Top 3 over at Crafty Catz challenge blog...thank you so much!

Good morning, Blogger buddies! It's the start of a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers today, which I am playing host for...I have set a nice, easy theme of 'Gorgeous Ginghams and Perfect Plaids', so there's no excuse to play along!  We're being sponsored by Dies to Die For, who are offering one lucky winner a £15.00 voucher to their store...how generous is that?!
I decided to use another of the pretty flower vase images that Sally Ann so kindly offered for Team 1's last challenge and went with a fresh Spring colour scheme of orange and greens...
...I had originally cut the image out with an oval die, but it just didn't look right somehow, so out came the scissors and I fussy cut around the tulip vase - which wasn't too fiddly, to be honest. The papers are a mix of what was in my stash - I desperately need to use up some more of my paper scarps, as my drawers are getting rather full!  All the edges were inked with Walnut Stain and I added a bit of doodling around the base layer, once again risking it by doing it at the last minute when I thought that there was 'something missing'!
Right, I'd best be off...I've got a mad busy day today, heck I've got a mad busy week...following on from a mad busy weekend...I'll be glad of the Easter break! Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday and can find the time to play along with my simple challenge this week!
Hugs,
I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges :

https://www.digistampboutique.co.uk/catalog/index.php
The lovely Sally Ann gave us a choice of image to play with and I went with the pretty Flower Vases set...
...I am struggling to find motivation to craft at the moment, so everything seems to be clean and simple because I find it so much easier! I coloured the pretty flower vase with my Pro/Flexmarkers -
Cerise, Shocking Pink, Vermillion
Sunflower, Gold, Bright Orange
Purple, Lavender
Meadow Green, Leaf Green, Forest Green
Honeydew, Cool Grey 2
I hope you can find the time to join in with our fun challenge this week and if any of you find some crafty Mojo, can you send it my way, please?! Don't forget to hop over to the Passion for Promarkers blog to play along and to see what fabulous inspiration my talented teamies have created...

Passion for Promarkers - Add an embellishment...

Good morning, crafty friends and a happy Tuesday to you all! It's the start of a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and this week the lovely Sue has given us an easy, peasy challenge theme of 'Add an embellishment', so hopefully we'll see lots of you playing along...
We're being sponsored by Digistamp Boutique who are offering one lucky winner a £10.00 voucher to their online store (which you should have no trouble spending!)
https://www.digistampboutique.co.uk/catalog/index.php

The lovely Sally Ann was generous to offer us an image of our choosing to play with and I went with the ever so cute 'Tweet Hearts' collection...
I also took the opportunity to make a card for hubby, for Valentine's Day...see, there's method in my madness!
I coloured Tweet with my Pro/Flexmarkers and decoupaged his head for a bit of added dimension. I used black mats to make the layers pop and for a touch of masculinity...and I couldn't resist adding a couple of those cute cloud dies, well, just because!  Some ribbon loops and a few gems and pearls constituted for my embellishments and I used one of the sentiments that came in the set too.
Hope you like my cute Valentine's Day card and I look forward to seeing what creations you all come up with!
Crafty hugs,
I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges :

Passion for Promarkers - It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Good morning, Blogger buddies! We're sliding towards the end of November which can only mean one thing...it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...and this is the theme for our challenge this week over at Passion for Promarkers.  I am in the hostess chair, so will be visiting all of your blogs to see what fabulous creations you come up with for my theme!
We're being sponsored by the fabulous Digistamp Boutique who are offering one lucky winner a £10 voucher to their online store...
No automatic alt text available.
Don't forget, to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you MUST use your Winsor & Newton/Letraset products and follow the challenge theme...
...Once again, we were given the opportunity to choose an image to play with and I went for Partridge in a Pear Tree.  I decided to make something other than a card and went for a pretty Christmas wall hanging. I printed the partridge onto the background, plus a second image to decoupage the layers.  I coloured my image with Pro/Flexmarkers and was really pleased with how the pears turned out. I chopped up a couple of gold glittered snowflake decorations and glued around the edge, then added some small gold pearls and diamantes for a bit more bling. I finished off with a 'handmade with love' charm around the bird's neck and a coordinating ribbon to hang.
I hope you can find the time to join in with my challenge this week and look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations. Don't forget to pop over and leave my teamies some love for their amazing inspiration this week...
Crafty hugs,
Lisa x

Passion for Promarkers - Rainbow/Rainbow colours...

Good morning, dear blogger buddies! Another Tuesday rolls around, which means it's time for a fab new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers! This week it's our lovely Shelly's who has set the challenge theme, though she is a little unwell at the moment and so Denise will be picking her Top 5 for this week...get well soon, Shelly! We have a fab theme of Rainbow or Rainbow colours - this can be an actual rainbow, or just use lovely rainbow colours on your creations. Whether they are pastel shades or vibrant rainbow colours, both are acceptabel, as you'll see from the DT's creations!
We're being sponsored by the wonderful Digi Stamp Boutique, who are offering one lucky winner a £10 voucher to their store...
The lovely Sally Ann gave us the choice of an image to play with and I went with Cute Unicorn...
I decided to go with pastel rainbow colours and kept the card quite soft and delicate...not like me?!...Of course, having opportunity, I added a couple of clouds...again, not like me?!!...The design was kept quite simple, as it seems to definitely be 'my' style these days...
I 3D decoupaged the unicorn, something else I seem to be doing a lot of lately and added a couple of the sparkly heart rhinestones, coz you've gotta have a bit of bling!
I hope you can join in with our fun challenge this week and look forward to seeing your interpretations of the theme! Don't forget to hop over to see what my talented teamies have been creating for your inspiration and if you want to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you need to use your Letraset/Newton & Windsor products...

Passion for Promarkers - Going Dotty...

Good morning, Blogger friends! I'm a little late posting for my challenge over at Passion for Promarkers, as I had to go away for a couple of days at short notice.  But I'm here now and hope you can join in with my fun challenge this week!
I've picked a nice, easy theme of 'Going Dotty', so whether it's big dots or polka dots, papers or ribbons, I want to be seeing spots! This week we're being sponsored by the wonderful Digistamp Boutique, who are offering one lucky winner a £10 voucher to their store...
Don't forget to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you must use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products and follow the challenge theme...
...The lovely Sally Ann gave us the opportunity to choose an image to play with and I went with the Pretty Garden Flower Set.  These flowers were so easy to colour!...
I decided to make a C6 easel card and add jaunty layers, so it would still fit in a 6" square envelope.  The papers are all from my upcoming CD (which is almost done) and I added a pretty sprig die for a bit of floatiness...if that's even a word?! The sentiment came with the image set and is a nice change from the usual Happy Birthday, etc.
I hope you can find the time to play along with my challenge this week and look forward to seeing what you all create!
Hugs,

Gosh, it's Tuesday again...so you know what that means, don't you?...yep, that's right - it's the start of a  brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers!  This week we have the lovely Ali in the hostess chair choosing us a nice, easy theme of 'Something New' - so whether it be a New Home, Job or Baby or even just some new stash, we'd like to see it on your creations (if you are using new stash, it would help us to state what your new stash is!)
We're being sponsored by the fabulous Digistamp Boutique who are offering one lucky winner a £10 voucher to their online store and don't forget, to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you MUST use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) mediums and follow the challenge theme...
We were lucky enough to choose a digi to play...I mean, work...with and I chose the ever so sweet Bently and Bunny to create a new baby card.  The papers are all from the Baby set of Another Play on Words and the bunting die is a Marianne one...
I punched the edge of the card with a hole punch to give it a more lacy look and of course, coloured my bunny with my Pro/Flexmarkers...though I forgot to write the colours down...duh! I kept the card in my usual clean and simple style and just added my signature pearls to finish off.
I hope you can find the time to join in with our challenge this week and look forward to seeing all your fabulous creations! Don't forget to check out what my talented teamies have been creating for your inspiration and good luck!

Well, another Tuesday has come around again...though I'm sure somebody has put us on x2 fast forward as they seem to be coming around much quicker...we have a new challenge starting over at Passion for Promarkers and the lovely Julie has given us a theme of 'Summer Days'...think maybe sunshine and beaches, and ice cream, or all three...

Passion for Promarkers - Make it Digital...

Ooops!  Seems I dropped off the planet for a little while again!  Days are being spent trying to bulk up stock for the start of the Farmer's market season - I'm hoping that it'll be a success and so am throwing myself into making allsorts of 'stuff' to adorn my stall...maybe one of these days I might even photograph some of it and share! (Bad Blogger!)
Anyway, it's that time of the week again - the start of a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and they don't get much easier than this...it's the lovely Marie in the hostess chair and she's given us a theme of 'Make it Digital', so we want to see your digital images, papers and sentiments (don't forget to mention what it is that you've used so that we can determine which bits are digital!)  We have a new sponsor this week with 2 Cute Ink offering one lucky winner 3 digis from their online store...
Don't forget to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you MUST use your Letraset mediums and follow the theme...so what are you waiting for?!
I decided to use another of my cute Dan images from Digistamp Boutique and kept the card nice and CAS - definitely my favourite style of card!  I coloured Dan with my Pro/Flexmarkers and here's the colour list for all you Letrasetters (seeing as I haven't done one in a while!)...
Skin - Blush, Dusky Pink, Coral, Cinnamon
Hair - Vanilla, Champagne, Sandstone, Caramel
Shading on top - Celestial Blue, Dolphin Blue
Trousers - Red, Berry Red, Crimson, Burgundy

Don't forget to hop on over to the Passion for Promarkers blog to see what my uber talented teamies have created for your inspiration and I'll be back with some more craftiness once I've found the camera under all the mess! Right, off to do some card commissions and maybe make some cupcakes...I'll see how long the cards take first!?! Have a terrific Tuesday and could somebody please give Mother Nature a bit of a nudge and reminder her that it's supposed to be Spring, because it's flipping freezing here today - might just have to put the heating on!
Hugs,
Lisa x

Passion for Promarkers - Bingo...

Good morning, dear Blogger buddies and a happy Tuesday to you all!  Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and...it's my turn to host!!  I've chosen a nice, easy Bingo board to get your crafty juices flowing, so why not get out your Letraset pens and join us for this weeks challenge?...
We're being sponsored by the super sweet Digistamp Boutique who are offering one lucky winner a £10 voucher to their online store, even more reason to join in the fun!
http://www.digistampboutique.co.uk/catalog/
For my card, I went with two bingo lines - middle across (buttons, image and kraft) and centre down (ribbon, image and sentiment)...
...I used the super cute Pirate Dan image and coloured him with my Pro/Flexmarker.  I paper pieced his bandad and the boat and decoupaged the parrot and portholes for a touch more dimension...
...You may recognise the layout from my last post - really like this one and could be adapted for any occasion...
...The papers are from the November set of A Year in Cards and the BBQ set of A Play in Words and all the edges were inked with Walnut Stain DI.  I stamped the sentiment using my individual alphabet stamps and added a couple of turwuoise star buttons to reflect the turquoise colours of the sea.
So, there you have it...I hope you can find time to play along with us this week and don't forget to see what my talented teamies have been creating for your inspiration, over on the Passion for Promarkers blog!  I look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations but not the challenge that will be picking a Top 3!
