Passion for promarkers - Beautiful Borders...

Good morning, crafty friends! Another Tuesday rolls around, which can only mean one thing...yep, that's right, we have a brand new challenge starting over at Passion for Promarkers!
This week it's the lovely Shelly who is in the hostess chair and as she has a love of all things doodle, she's chosen a clever theme of 'Beautiful Borders'...so whether it's a doodled border, ribbon border, die cut border, fancy or straight, we'd like to see them on your creations...
We're being sponsored by The Paper Shelter who are kindly offering one lucky winner a choice of 3 digital images from their online store...
Just remember, to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you MUST use your Letraset/Winsor& Newton products and follow the challenge theme.
(It also really helps if you state where you've used them, for example, coloured with Promarkers, etc)

We were lucky enough to get an image to play with and as a team, we chose the ever so pretty Glittery and Sparkling. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and give her coloured hair and it actually fades from purple to pink, which doesn't show very well in the photo...although I blame the photographer?!
Colour list :
Skin - Blush, Dusky Pink, Coral (my trusted colour combo)
Hair - Blossom, Sorbet, Fuchsia Pink, Wild Orchid, Amethyst, Purple
The card base is one I found on Pinterest and we will be doing a variation of this at our next workshop on Saturday (sorry, Karen!)...
I decided to have my borders as doodled ones, taking inspiration from our lovely Shelly - she often adds hand drawn borders to her creations, although does it with much more confidence!
Some glitter, sparkly stars and sentiment, finished everything off and some coordinating paper panels on the inside too.
Right then, I'm off to prep kits for this weekend's card making workshop and shuffle some paper around...I hope you can find the time to play along with our fun challenge this week and look forward to seeing all of your wonderful creations...
Crafty hugs,

Passion for Promarkers - Celebrations...

Good morning, Blogger buddies! We have a brand new challenge starting over at Passion for Promarkers and this week's theme has been set by the lovely Nic (aka Coops), who would like to see all your creations for 'Celebrations'...so this could be for a wedding, Birthday, new baby, or any other type of celebration!
This week we are being sponsored by The Paper Shelter who are offering one lucky winner 3 digital images from their online store...
http://www.thepapershelter.com/index.php?main_page=
Don't forget, to be in with a chance of winning this prize, you MUST use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products AND follow the challenge theme...it would also help the Design Team if you could state where you have used the products, i.e. coloured with Promarkers...

We were given the choice of an image to work with and I picked out the ever so pretty 'Wedding Cake'...I teamed it with pastel papers and did a bit of doodling to tie in the black outline of the image, then finished with some Liquid Pearls and a couple of diamante hearts.

I am still finding it hard to get the motivation to go in my craft room at the moment and think I may need to do a declutter, to clear my head and craft space a little...we have had some wonderful weather recently, which means we have been spending time outside and in our beloved campervan, Daisy! We got to spend the weekend at a fabulous site in Mid Wales called Fforest Fields, near Builth Wells and thoroughly enjoyed just chilling out in the sunshine...Josh got to have a go at kayaking on the lake and thinks he may have found a new hobby, so I'll have to get him brushed up on his swimming skills!...
It's back to the usual sunshine and showers this week, so maybe I'll be inclined to do more inside...I have a bathroom to paint, bedroom to sort out and craft room to declutter, so wish me luck!
Hope you can find the time to play along with our challenge this week and I look forward to seeing what you all create!
Hugs,

Spring Swing easel...

Good morning, dear Bloggers!  Well, it's another day of sunshine and it looks like the summer weather is set to stay over the weekend too!  The children are spending most of their time in the little river in our village, splashing around and trying to catch fish and the BBQ has been lit more times in the last fortnight than it ever has been!  School breaks up at the end of next week and I'm just hoping that the weather doesn't turn sour on us and confine us to indoors!
I've been lucky enough to get a couple of top 3s with some of my projects recently and thought I would share them with you - I got a Top 3 with Natalie and Amy for their Fantasy  Challenge...
...Top 3 with Crafting When We Can Challenge #47 with my Wee Florist card...
...and a Daily Talent Spot over at Joanna Sheen with my Time is Precious wall hanging!

Anyhow, today, I have a card to share with you using another one of my digi choices from my win at The Paper Shelter a couple of weeks ago...
...this is Spring Swing - I decided to make an easel card and use some of the pretty First Edition Dreamcatcher paper pad...
...I coloured this little sweetie with my Promarkers and here's the colours I used for all you Letraset fans :
Skin : Blush, Dusky, Sunkissed Pink
Hair : Sandstone, Caramel, Cocoa, Walnut, Umber
Dress : Soft Mauve, Lavender, Orchid, Amethyst, Purple
Sash and Bow : Muted Pink, Rose Peach, Watermelon, Antique Pink
Bird : Glacier, Cloud, Dolphin Blues
Swing : Vanilla, Sunflower, Soft Khaki, Khaki
Flowers : Cerise, Vermillion, Meadow, Birght Green
Shoes : Dove Grey, Cool Grey 1, Cool Grey 4
...The theme over at The Paper Shelter this week is 'Swirly Girly', so I added a couple of glittered Marianne swirl die cuts and some punched flowers with pearl centres.  I decided to add the sentiment on little tabs to create some more interest on the card and finished (of course) with some little pearls...
...Lastly, I added a panel for a hand written sentiment - all of my coloured layers are white cardstock with the edges coloured with Promarkers, so that I don't have to keep bringing in too much stuff from the shed!  The structural engineer came on Wednesday to see about knocking through the pantry, but there's still no news as to when work is supposed to start and with Summer holidays around the corner, I hope we find out soon!  Thanks for dropping by to see me and I hope to be able to keep cardmaking, if only occasionally, until the work starts!  Enjoy your weekend, whatever you're doing...crafty hugs,

Lisa x

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges :

I'm back again!...

...Hello, dear Blogger friends!  Well, how's this for a turn up for the books?!  Yesterday, I received the news that work on our house has been delayed (not really surprised!), so despite the fact that I have packed up all my crafty stash and a lot of other stuff in the house, what was the first thing I did?  Only, get crafty!  I am so grateful that I only stashed my craft things in the shed as I was able to go out and bring in the stuff that I needed!  I discovered that I had won the challenge over at The Paper Shelter last week and my prize was a choice of 3 digis from their store...OMW how do you choose just 3 images from a whole store of deliciousness?!  In the end, I chose Spring Swing, Snow Angel (thinking ahead to the dreaded 'C' word!) and Cute Dressmaker

The challenge this week at The Paper Shelter is Buttons and/or Brads, so it was a perfect opportunity for me to colour up my Cute Dressmaker...
...isn't she a doll?!  I thoroughly enjoyed colouring her up and was inspired by the lovely Eileen's hair colouring on this card, to go with the white blonde...
...I coloured this little sweetie with my Pro/Flexmarkers and here's the colours I used :
Skin : Blush, Dusky, Sunkissed Pink
Hair : Sandstone, Champagne, Light Fawn, Buttercup
T-Shirt : Blue Grey 1, Dove Grey, Cerise, Vermillion (my all time fave colour at the moment!)
Shorts : Glacier Blue, Denim, Cadet Blue
Tights : Meadow, Apple, Bright Green, Antique White
Shoes : Cool Grey 1, 3, 4 & 5
Dress : Soft Aqua, Cool Aqua, Surf Blue, Muted Pink, Tea Rose, Watermelon, Dove Grey
Stans : Sandstone, Caramel, Cocoa
I had cut out the image using my Go Kreate Frilly frame die, but the image slipped when I tried to emboss it and I ended up having to cut her out and 3D foam pad her on top!
...The papers I used are First Edition Boho Chic orange paisley (still my favourite paper and my last piece :( ) Spring Feast dots and Boho Chic aqua flower.  I added some bright turquoise grosgrain ribbon and bow and some buttons to embellish and tie in with the theme.  The sentiment was created in PS and cut using the largest Go Kreate Frilly frame die, then matted onto a faux die cut...
...I added my usual printed insert with the black and white dress form on and the sentiment 'Have a wonderful day!'
Thanks for dropping by to see me today and I hope you like my little creation!  Good luck to all those who are entering challenges this week and many thanks to Veronica and all the girls at The Paper Shelter for their fab challenges, DT inspiration and prizes!  Fingers crossed, I may just win again!
