Passion for Promarkers - Rainbows...

Good morning, lovely peeps!  It's Tuesday again, which means the start of a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers.  This week it's the lovely Shelly in the hostess chair and she's given us a nice colourful theme of 'Rainbows', so we'd like to see rainbows or rainbow colour schemes on your projects...
We're being sponsored by Polkadoodles who are offering one lucky winner 2 digis...
It's a quick post from me this morning as I am on my way out to watch my little man's last primary school sports day!  Can't believe he's going to high school this year, although he is definitely ready for it being a September baby.
Anyway, here's my DT card for today...
I decided to go really CAS on this one and just have the focus on the pretty rainbow...
...the image is one of my own (and might be a sneak peek!?!) and was coloured with Pro?flexmarkers.
Right, I'm gonna have to dash, 5 minutes to get out of the house!  Hope you get the time to join in with our challenge this week and I look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations!
Hugs,
Lisa x
Don't forget to hop on over to the PfP blog and see what wonderful inspiration my teamies have for you.

More Christmas samples...

Good evening, everyone!  I'm back again to share some more of the Christmas samples that I've been making - my craft room is now getting to the point where there is a six inch wide pathway around the table and that's it, so I am going to have to tackle it before too long...but maybe not tonight?!  For now, I have these 3 cards to share...
First uses the postbox image and papers plus one of the Church sentiments from 12 Cards of Christmas.  The clouds are a My Favourite Things die...
...Next was the Church image with the Postbox flower and plaid papers and the lantern music paper.  The holly is from the pudding set and was printed onto adhesive film and adhered to silver mirror card...
...Finally, I made a card using the gingerbread man from the pudding sentiments sheet.  Again he was printed onto adhesve film and adhered to gold mirror card.  The green gingham is from the Rudolph set and the plaid is from the Birdhouse design.
I have to keep it short and sweet as I have a million and one things to do and not enough time to do it in!  It's my little man's sports day in the morning, so there's another half a day gone...at this rate, I'll be up until midnight all week! Hope you're all having a fabulous week and I'll be back tomorrow with my DT card for a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers. Until then,
Happy crafting!

Crafting!...

Good evening, lovely Bloggers!  What a warm day it's been!  The sun has eventually decided to shine, so before me and hubby go out to cut the hedges, I thought I'd pop on and share some new samples I've been making for Summer Papercrafting at Newark, next weekend...
I thought it about time I made some new Christmas samples...
...the first is a sweet Christmas candle using the stocking image from 12 Cards of Christmas.  The process is made so much easier by the printable adhesive film that I've got (and will have to sell at Newark next weekend)  I also found that it works really well when applied to mirror card as it gives the toppers a metallic look, so this is what ended up on my next few cards!...
...A really simple card with the pudding image - don't know if you can see the metallic effect but this was applied to silver mirror card...
...This one is one of the postcards from the postbox design and the flower bouquet is the pointsettias overlaid on top of the Christmas rose image, all applied to an antique gold mirror card.  The mirror card gives it such a metallic sheen IRL, though as usual, my photography skills leave a lot to the imagination!
I am busy, busy, preparing for next weekend, burning and printing discs and covers, and packaging, plus sample making and trying to get the last of my designs completed for my next disc - Another Play on Words!  I really hope we have a good weekend for Newark and look forward to meeting some more fellow crafters in a new part of the UK!  Thanks for persevering with my sparce offerings at the moment, but I hope to remedy this once design work is completed!
Crafty hugs,

Passion for Promarkers - Masculine...

Good morning, gorgeous Blogger buddies and a Happy Tuesday to you all!  It's that time again which sees the start of a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers...with Father's Day just around the corner, the lovely Nic who is our hostess for the week has chosen the theme, 'Masculine', so we'd like to see all those creations for the boys and men in our lives! This week we are sponsored by Sassy Studios who are offering one lucky winner 4 digis...
Don't forget, to be eligible to win the prize, you must use your Letraset pens and of course, follow the theme.
...I decided to use one of All Dressed Up freebies images called Cute just got Cuter and make a Father's Day card for hubby from my boys...
...I coloured the cute little dog with my Pro/Flexmarkers - Vanilla, Champagne, Sandstone, Caramel, Cocoa, Henna, Duck Egg, Surf Blue, Marine, Petrol and cut him out eith my nestie circle dies...
..The papers are from the frog design set of Animal Antics and I finished the inside with the plain frog insert, printed with a simple sentiment.
So that's it from me - I hope you can join in with our challenge this week and don't forget to hop on over to the Passion for Promarkers blog to see what wonderful inspiration my talented teamies have come up with! Have a fabulous week!

AWOL...

Good morning, everyone!  I guess I've been MIA again! I don't seem to have the motivation to craft...or do anything to be honest, this last fortnight!  We've had a lot going in in our home life and head space seems to be at a premium at the moment!  I need to try and manage my time a little better as I feel as if I have just been wandering around, a little lost, these last two weeks.  I am still crafting in the form of workshop and DT cards and design work, plus I'm prepping for Sincerely Yours Summer paper Crafting at Newark on the 27th and 28th of this month...it's a bit scary as there's a lot more invested in this one, so I just hope that it turns out okay!
I am also desperate to get in my garden and do...we bought 1500 bricks off Gumtree last week in preparation for the hard landscaping that I want to do...though it's probably enough to build a small extension!  There was ever such a cute surprise when I went out there to hang washing the other day, however...
...this sweet little blackbird fledgling was chasing round after it's mother, wanting to be fed!  It was almost as big as her and was quite comical as it's legs seemed too long for it's body!

Anyway, enough waffle, I have the last workshop cards that we made to share with you all...
...The first was a sympathy card...
...They're always difficult to make but I wanted to keep some warmth, so went with an inked, Autumnal colour palette and lovely sentiment.
...The second card was an easel card using the dog and embellishments from Animal Antics...
I do hope I find some enthusiasm or motivation soon and that my days can be a little more productive...the sun is shining, so maybe that'll help! Off to put on some washing, clean the bathroom, then it's kid's club this afternoon and a basket full of ironing after tea!  I'll be back tomorrow with my card for a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers, so until then TTFN!
Hugs,
Lisa x
PS Here's a link to the  leaves I used (well, I couldn't find the exact site that I used, but these are the same!) and the sentiment...
