Passion for Promarkers - Furry Friends...

I won at Creative Craft Cottage!

This card came in the Top 3 at Ooh La La Creations!

Good morning, dear Blogger buddies and a Happy Tuesday to you all! Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers.  This week it's the lovely Shelly in the hostess chair and she's chosen a theme of 'Furry Friends', so if it's cute and furry, or even not so cute and furry, we want to see it on your creations - from teddy bears to panda bears, cats to kittens, puppies to dogs...you get the drift?!

We are being sponsored by one of our newer sponsors this week, 2 Cute Ink, who are offering one lucky winner the choice of 3 digis from their store...
https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/2CuteInk
Don't forget, to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you MUST use your Letraset mediums and follow the challenge theme!
...I decided to make a card using the ever so cute Little Kitty from Sylvia Zet, which she kindly offered as a freebie on her blog HERE.  I have used this image quite a few times, but left off the little mouse this time...
...I used Dovecraft Garden Party and First Edition Kiss and Tell papers and a Marianne doily edge circle die.  Little Kitty was coloured using my Pro/Flexmarkers and a white Prismacolor pencil - want the colour list? Here it is :
Fur - Light Fawn, Champagne, Nutmeg, Spice
Hat - Blender, Tea Green, Pastel Green
Roses - Primrose, Canary, Tulip Yellow
Leaves - Apple, Grass, Forest Green
Shading on hat band and ribbon - Blender, Antique Pink, Ruby
I paper pieced the hat band and ribbon with the Pink Polka Dot from the Makeup set of Another Play on Words and decoupaged the hat and flowers for a bit of dimension....I added a couple of clouds (because I can and because I love them!), buttons, pearls and a hand stamped sentiment, plus a touch of glitter to lift the image. The card was finished off inside with a printed insert and I was done!
Hope you like my Furry Friend inspiration and you can find even more from my talented teamies over on the Passion for Promarkers blog!
Crafty hugs,
Lisa x

Wow we told you there were amazing prizes didn’t we?  Definitely lots of reasons to join in the fun this week!! To give you lots of inspiration we have both Team 1 and Team 2 to share their creations, so there's plenty of cards to get your crafty juices flowing!...
For my card this week, I wanted to show a different way of using your alcohol pens to colour embossing folders.  I speak to so many people who have pens of whichever sort and don't use them because they feel that their colouring isn't good enough, so here's a nice, easy way of using them and the finished result is so pretty!...
To create the embossed panel I cut the piece to size then placed in my embossing folder to be able to position my oval die in the right place to cut the aperture (these frame style folders work brilliantly for this type of card) I attached it in position with low tack tape then REMOVED IT FROM THE FOLDER before cutting the aperture!  Place it back in the folder and emboss then round the corners, ink edges if preferred and punch a hole for the ribbon to thread through...
...The Promarker colours I used were Meadow Green, Dusky Rose and Buttercup but any pastel tones would work well.  Just follow the lines of the embossing with your pen (don't try to colour the lines particularly as the ink bleeds slightly anyway)  I finished off with lots of pearls, sentiment, organza bow and a lovley pink polka dot from the Makeup set of Another Play on Words.
You could get a real production line of these cards going with different colour tones, backing papers and ribbons and it's also a great way to make backing papers too...
I embossed this chevron design then coloured with Dolphin, Powder Blue and Cornflower, using the chisel end of the pen.  You have to get used to the angle to hold your pen at to get clean lines but that's why lighter tones are much easier as you don't have to be as accurate! Don't forget that you can then use your pens to create your coloured mats by simply colouring the edges of your white paper!  That means 100s of different coloured papers, if only I could remember to do it!?!
Hope you get chance to join in with our Anniversary celebrations this week and I look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations!
Hugs,
Lisa x

Passion for Promarkers - Sparkle and Shine...

This card came in the Top 3 at All Dressed Up Challenge blog!

Good morning, lovely Blogger friends and a happy Tuesday to you all!  I have been having a fight recently between crafting indoors or enjoying the lovely weather we've been having outdoors and as you can see by my blog, outdoors won!  We had our first barbecue of the year on Saturday (my little man has been mithering for weeks now!) and I've been tinkering about in the garden, transplanting plants ready for my brick paving and tidying up the pots and borders. A visit to the garden centre was necessary (of course!) for a few new additions, plus we've been hedge and grass cutting and bought and assembled a new trampoline for the boys after my eldest jumped straight through the old one on the weekend!
Yesterday was a crafty day however, in preparation for today's new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers...it's our talented Nic (aka Coops) in the hostess chair this week and she's chosen us a theme of 'Sparkle and Shine', so whether it be shiny cardstock, glitter, diamantes, Glossy Accents or anything else that sparkles or shines, we want to see it on your creations!...We're being sponsored by All Dressed Up who are offering one lucky winner 2 digis from their online store...

The lovely Wendy from ADU Stamps allowed us to choose a digi to work with, so I went with Love my iPad...
...I disguised the writing that is on the image by adding a silver mirri piece on the iPad and positioned the chevron paper to cover the 'Love my' as I wanted it as a Birthday card...
...I really liked this quirky image and thought it would be great for a young teen card.  I coloured my image with Pro/Flemarkers (which wasn't easy as I don't have any fine nibs!) and added some Glossy Accents to her glasses and hairband...
...I used my Clearly Besotted Notebook Edge die for the layer behind the image and added lots of sprinkles including diamantes, buttons and pearls.  I glittered every other line of the chevron paper for a bit more bling (although it did make my eyes go a bit funny!) and used a pretty star organza and cornflower blue satin ribbon with bow...
...I hope you can join in with our fun challenge this week and look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations! Have a terrific Tuesday and here's hoping the sunshine returns soon!
Hugs,
Lisa x
