Say it with Flowers - NEW papercraft CD...

*This post will stay on top until 31st May 2017*
It's finally here! My latest papercraft CD-Rom Say it with Flowers is now available to purchase...
Below are the 8 predesigned project cards which can either be created using the written instructions with full dimensions for cutting each layer from the printed papers or by printing out the predesigned sheets and assembling.
There are backing papers, image toppers, digistamps, decoupage, sentiments and embellishments including vintage toppers, postage style stamps, butterflies, paper bows, mini tags and fishtail flags.
All the images are hand drawn and coloured then converted to a digital format from which all the elements are created.  The discs are created from start to finish by myself, including the browser interface, CD printing and burning, case artwork and packaging and usually take around 6 months to complete...but I hope it's worth it in the end!
If you would like to purchase a disc, you can do so by clicking on the Add to Cart Button in the sidebar or at the bottom of this post...

Tulips...

Good morning again, crafty friends! It's back to normality today, with hubby and the big man back off to work - my little man is on half term holidays so abandons us most nights to go and sleep at his Nain's house...but he'll be back later to traipse all his friends in to go on the XBox! Think it'll have to be a morning of ironing for me today as they're starting to complain that there's nothing to wear?! Before that though, I have another sample card to share with you and today it's the turn of the Tulips...
I used the Tulip topper image and a mix of papers including the Cactus Heart, Tulip plaid and Hibiscus polka dot papers...
I used a second topper image to decoupage the flower heads and main leaf and added a touch of crystal glitter (though I can never get it to show up on photos!)
Right, best be off - this ironing ain't gonna do itself...worst luck! And those miserable fairies seem to do things for everyone else but me?! Have a terrific Tuesday and just a heads up that there's a new challenge starting over at Passion for Promarkers today with a theme of 'Kinetic cards', so we'd love to see you join in!

Iris pop up box...

Good morning, lovely Blogger buddies! Hope you're enjoying the Bank Holiday Monday - it's a bit of a damp squib today with showers and grey skies, but at least it's not cold!
I'm back to share a pretty pop up box that I made using the Iris topper sheet and papers...
I really liked the way this one turned out and if you'd like to have a go at something similar, there is a tutorial on how I create the box base under the Tutorials tab at the top of my blog page...
I used the two main topper images and a little bit extra from one of the bordered images, then added in a couple of butterflies on acetate strips, so they are fluttering among the flowers.  I felt that the back panel needed a little something, so added in one of my favourite embellishments...a cloud, of course...and used one of the iris stamps and sentiments cut into a fishtail shape.
Well that's it from me, don't forget that you only have to today to play along with our current challenge over at Passion for Promarkers, which is 'Make it Manly' and I'll be back soon with some more inspiration.

Pansy...

Good morning once again, dear crafty friends! Hope you're enjoying the long weekend here in the UK!
I'm back again...I know, it's amazing isn't it?!...to share another sample card and this time it's the ever so pretty Pansy that's in the spotlight...
I used the Pansy decoupage image, fussy cutting out but leaving a white border and all 4 of the Pansy papers...
...Yet again a little string bow managed to creep in there (told you you'd be seeing a lot of them!) and a pretty spotty button.
It's short and sweet from me today as I scheduled these posts on Friday evening to make the most of family time over the weekend...
I'll be back in the morning with another scheduled post and a pop up box...so watch this space!

Calla Lily...

Good morning, lovely peeps! I'm back to share another new sample card from my latest disc, Say it with Flowers and today it's the turn of the Calla Lily...
I went with a really clean and simple layout for this one.  The image is from the Calla Lily topper sheet and the papers are from the Calla Lily and Tulip design sets - the large dotty paper is actually a lot more cream than showing up in the picture, but then that's down to my photography skills...or lack of them?!...
I cut down the 5x7 portrait insert from the Calla Lily set and added it inside.  I was going to add some glitter to the flowers but quite liked the simplicity of it without...as you can see, my string bow made an appearance again!
Have a great weekend!

Daffodil card...

Good morning, dear Blogger friends, on a beautifully sunny day here in North Wales! I have been busy at my crafty table creating sample cards for a couple of upcoming shows and can now confirm that I will be at the Sincerely Yours shows at Bebington on the Wirral, Sunday 2nd July and at Leigh in Lancashire on the 19th August...If you're able to come along, please pop over and say 'Hi!' - it's always lovely to meet fellow crafters and share ideas!
I'll be sharing my latest samples over the coming days and today it's the turn of the Daffodil...
I've used a mix of papers for this one - the large dot is from the Tulip set, the green tile from the Iris set and the small polka dot is from the Daffodil set.  I used the daffodil topper sheet and cut out a couple of extra flowers to make the blooms fuller, then added in a few die cut leaves and tiny flowers plus one of the postage stamp embellishments...
I added some glitter on the image (but as usual, it fails to show up in photograph!), lots of pearls and my favourite embellishment of the moment - string bows...you may be seeing a lot more of these?! ;)
Hope you all have a fabulous Friday and enjoy the long weekend, here in the UK - we have plans for a chillout weekend with maybe a barbecue and picnic out...but I know how best laid plans can change at short notice, so I'm not banking on it?!
I'm also hoping to get a bit more design work in...the brain is still in gear, so I'm making the most of it!!
Crafty hugs and glittery wishes,

Passion for Promarkers - Make it Manly...

Good morning, dear Blogger buddies and a Happy Tuesday to you all! It seems to be that this is the only day of the week that I manage to post anything these days, but there is reason to my absence - I am trying to get some samples made for possible upcoming shows and I am also busy, busy drawing and designing! These weeks are passing by in a blur and it won't be long before we're back on the slippery slope after the Summer Solstice - just where has this year gone?!...
...But I am here...and it's Tuesday...so, you know what that means?!....it's time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers!  Yay!...
This week it's the lovely Nic (aka Coops) in the hostess chair and she's given us a fab theme of 'Make it Manly' (which works out very well for me as it's hubby's birthday this week!) We're being sponsored by Di's Digi Stamps who are offering one lucky winner a $12.00 voucher to their online store...
As it's hubby's birthday, I went with an automotive theme - we are all a bit car mad in our house (although I HATE driving?!) so I thought it quite apt...
I coloured up the vintage car from A Year in Cards and decided to challenge myself by going red!  I was quite pleased with how it turned out and decided that it would be best to show it off in my favourite CAS style.  I used my craft knife to cut around the corner of the roof of the car and slotted the sentiment behind to add a bit of depth and added a couple of large pearls for the headlights...
The red combo I used was Sunset, Red, Crimson and Burgundy.  I am finding that quite a few of my pens are starting to run out - I probably shouldn't complain as I've had some of them for about 6 years but it just seems that they're happening all at once...and more so my Flexmarkers too! I store them flat and was wondering if I should switch to storing them upright as I mainly only use the smaller nib end for colouring...any suggestions?!
Right, I have a couple more ideas for samples, so am off to sit at my EXTREMELY messy craft table to play and will share them with you soon...

Watercolour backgrounds...

Good morning again, dear Blogger buddies! I've been playing around with watercolour backgrounds this morning, along with my new CD - Say it with Flowers...
I have a real love for 'clean and simple' these days and thought that the flowers would look nice with a watercolour style background...
I really like the way they've turned out and thought I would share them with my crafty friends! For my cards, I used the Pansy and Tulip decoupage from Say it with Flowers and these watercolour backgrounds...
To Save click on the image, then right click and Save Image As...
I also created these, thinking that they'll go with the other flowers on the disc...
Hope you like them! All I ask is that if you use them, you could give a link to my blog for people to come and get them for themselves.

Passion for Promarkers - Make it Bloom...

Good morning, lovely Blogger friends!  Sorry to have been so quiet lately - I feel I have been playing catch up since the Easter holidays and we managed to get away in Daisy again this weekend, so here we are at the beginning of MAY...MAY! It's Tuesday, so that means we have a brand new challenge starting over at Passion for Promarkers...
The lovely Marie is in the hostess chair this week and she's chosen a nice, easy theme of 'Make it Bloom'...so whether it's flowery paper, flower embellishments or even flowers on your image, let's see those 'blooming' creations! We're being sponsored by The Paper Shelter who are offering one lucky winner a $10 voucher to their online store...
We were lucky enough to get an image to play with...The Sweet Gardener...
I went with another small C6 easel card for this one as I didn't want too much 'stuff' to detract from the pretty image...
The papers are from my new CD-Rom Say it with Flowers, which will be available from today!
I really do find that less is more these days and my love of clean and simple is stronger than ever! It still takes as long as a fussy card, however, as I spend that much time putting things on and taking them off again...but maybe I have found my signature style?!
I hope you can find the time to join in with our fun challenge this week and look forward to seeing all of your fabulous creations!
Hugs,
I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges :
