Passion for Promarkers - Weather...

Good morning, crafty buddies and a happy Tuesday to you all! Who would have thought that Julie's challenge theme this week, over at Passion for Promarkers, would be so topical?!
The weather...
Here in Blighty we love to talk about the weather - I think because it is so changeable and it is possible to get all 4 seasons in one day! Who'd have thought that such a tiny little island could get rain, sleet, snow, gales and sunshine all in the space of 24 hours and even then, it 's probably not happening a mile down the road?!…
So whilst we make the most of the sunshine here in the UK (and I know it's not everyone's cup of tea!), why not get out your pens and play along with our weather themed challenge? Now it doesn't just have to be sunshine and Summer time makes, you could always go with a wintery theme to cool you down...or even that thing we don't talk about until December?!…
We are being sponsored by Di's Digi Stamps who are offering one lucky winner a $12 voucher to their online store...
For my card, I made a little collage with some of the Weather digi stamps from Another Play on Words...I have to say, I wasn't too pleased with my colouring on this one, but I suppose we all have 'off' days?! (Plus I didn't have time to start all over again?!) My lovely teamie Elaine said that it looked like the weather forecast for Scotland in one day...ha, ha!...so true!
Well, enjoy the weather, whatever it throws at you and I hope you can find the time to join in with our fun challenge this week!
I'm off to have my hair chopped off - I keep swaying whether to go short or chicken out and just get a trim...we'll see how brave I am?!
Have a terrific Tuesday! Crafty hugs,

Twist and pop cards...

Good evening, crafty friends! I've been meaning to post these fab cards that the lovely Linda (one of the girls from our workshop) made using the twist and pop card template from my Etsy store...
Instead of using the butterfly or grapevine design elements that come with the card template, she mixed it up and used some of the images from my CDs...
For the first one, she used the BBQ toppers and papers from A Play on Words...

And the second used the travel images from Another Play on Words and the Globe from A Play on Words...
I love the way they turned out and it's so nice to see what someone else does with my designs! Thank you Linda for sharing your fab creations and allowing me to share them with my crafty friends!
Hugs,

Passion for Promarkers - Make it Manly...

Good morning, crafty friends! Another Tuesday rolls around, which means it's time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers! The lovely Hazel is in the hostess chair and she's given us a topical theme (with Father's Day on Sunday) of 'Make it Manly'...so we'd like to see all those masculine creations or something for the boys in our lives...
We're being sponsored by Lacy Sunshine who are offering one lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images from their online store...
We were lucky enough to get an image to play with and I went with, the ever so fun, Ten Gallon Ted!   I coloured him up with my Pro/Flexmarkers :
Skin - Blush, Dusky Pink, Coral
Hair - Champagne, Linen, Buttercup
Hat and Belt - Caramel, Cinnamon, Cocoa, Henna, Umber, Buttercup, Tulip Yellow, Gold
Neckerchief - Red, Berry, Crimson, Burgundy
Jacket - Denim, Cadet, Midnight Blue
Fur Chaps - Cool Grey 2, 3, 4, 5, Storm Cloud
Shoes - Cool Grey 3, 4, 5, Storm Cloud, Black
I added real string to the lasso, cutting slits at the edge of his trousers and threading it behind the image...
I created a U shaped card to give plenty of dimension and added the Spellbinders Rustic Western Elements fence die, and grass and cloud dies in the background.  I made a sheriff's badge from gold cardstock, thinking it would be a good place to add an age number and finished off with a Birthday sentiment...
It looks like the good weather may finally be coming to an end, as it's much cooler here today...it is always a shock to the system to get change after such a lengthy spell of sunshine, but hopefully, it'll be back before we know it! We may just squeeze another day of fair weather until the rain comes in...
Enjoy your Tuesday, whatever you're up to and I look forward to hopping over to see all your wonderful creations, if you can find the time to play along!
