Wandering Boots...

Hey there, crafty friends! I picked up some more great bargains in the latest Spellbinders sale (well it would be rude not to!) and used a couple of the sets to make this fun, walking card...

I used the sets 'Wander Boots' and 'On Cloud Nine' and paired them with the cloud paper from Storytelling Sunshine Prints 12x12 paper pad (which I also picked up in the sale). I created a compass from a cog die, eight pointed star, bobbin die and some gold flat backed pearls and used the fence die from Heartfelt Creations Rustic Western Elements...

I also decorated the inside with a few of the elements and an apt sentiment stamp that I found in my stash...

Hope you like my nature themed card, thanks for popping by to have a look and I hope you find inspiration...

Butterfly card...

Hey there, crafty friends! I'm back again to share the second card that I made using the same layout as my gaming cards, but this time, I've gone with a butterfly theme...

I always love the way you can make a card look so different, despite using the same layout and overall technique and I was really pleased with how this pretty card turned out, so much so, that I made another one!...

I must admit that I love the black outline on the butterflies - something I would never have thought of doing before, but I am slowly but surely embracing the bolder side of colour and the impact that it can give.

I hope you are inspired by my butterfly makes and will hopefully be back later in the week to share some more creations from over the Summer...

Crafty hugs,

Gaming cards...

Well here's a turn up for the books! Can't quite believe that it was May when I last posted, but here we are in the middle of September and I actually have a card to share...or three!

I hope that you all enjoyed the fabulous Summer that we had, it was quite the shock to the system when it abruptly ended, and Autumn seems well and truly set in already...although it's nice when we still get a glimpse of sunshine and there's a softness to the colours of nature.

I decided to make use of the atrocious weather that we had yesterday and sat at my crafty desk for a few hours...inspired by the uber talented Inge Groot (who always makes such fabulous creations) and one of her card layouts, I found it was a great starting point for my creativity...

My inspiration came from this card from back in July 2016...(if you click on the image, it should take you to Inge's original post)...

And this is what I came up with, using a die set that I picked up from Ebay...

...a bit different to the original! And then I decided to make another two in different colour ways...

It's amazing how a layout or a colour combination can be the spark of creativity that you need to sit down and create, and I did enjoy my couple of hours of crafting....

But today the sun is shining, so the washing is out on the line and the grass could do with it's final cut of the year, so no crafting for me! I will be back with another couple of cards in the week - two more using the same layout as this and a couple of cards I made a few weeks ago when I thought I should at least try to make something!

Thanks for dropping by to see me and I'll be back soon...

Crafty hugs,
