Passion for Promarkers - Rags to Riches...

Good morning, lovely Bloggers!  Tuesday's rolled around again which means it's time for another fun challenge over at Passion for Promarkers!  This week it's the lovely Shelly in the hosting chair and she has chosen the theme, 'Rags to Riches'...so she'd like to see something on your card that would otherwise have been discarded, so maybe the ribbon from a box of chocolates, pearls from an old necklace, materials from packaging, or an altered object.  This week we are sponsored by the lovely Nikki over at Polkadoodles and she's offering the lucky winner 2 digistamps...
Don't forget to be eligible to win the prize, you MUST use your Letraset products (i.e. promarkers, flex markers, aqua markers, tria markers, metallic markers or neon markers) and of course follow the theme.
...So, I made 2 projects for the challenge!  To fit in with the theme, I altered an old Pringle pot into an ESSENTIAL 'Handbag and Shoe Fund' money box! (A girl can never have too many, you know?!)...

...I covered the pot with embossed card and white lace then attached some gingham ribbon, sentiment, image and flowers...
...I then made a matching card using the sassy Fredericka Chic image which Nikki kindly offered as part of the challenge...
...I coloured Fredericka with my Pro and Flexmarkers and paper pieced her skirt with dark pink polka dot paper...
...I decorated the inside of the card with a patchwork effect paper made from paper scraps and the sentiment reads 'Friends are like shoes and handbags - you can never have too many...especially ones as nice as you! Many Happy Returns to a Special Friend.'
I hope you can find the time to join in with our challenge this week and look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations!  Don't forget to hop on over to the Passion for Promarkers blog to see what my lovely teamies have been up to!
Crafty hugs,

These are fabulous Lisa. I love the altered Pringles pot and matching card. The embossed background looks fabulous with the pretty paper strips and the image is coloured so beautifully.
