Good morning, dear Bloggers of the world! Despite my absence, I am still in creating mode...I have a craft fair in a fortnight and have been busy trying to make stocking filler type gifts to sell! Hubby is wondering why Ebay keeps sending him messages saying that he's just bought 20 shopping list note pads or 24 sticky notes, or 42 wooden pegs and even 8 lip balms?! I am trying to come up with items that have a low selling price so that they actually buy something! *(hopefully)*
One of my first items are some fun corner bookmarks in different styles...
...I would like to make some more of the kite and monster bookmarks but it's surprising how long it takes just to make a few items and I need to fill a table?! I have also made 18 Christmas cards so far, but will share them another time...I have magnetic pegs, post it note holders and pens, bottle top fridge magnets, lip balm holders, shopping list notepads...and yet still don't seem to have very much! Thankfully Mum is sharing the table with me so she'll hopefully fill up some of the space...I just hope it's all worthwhile!?! Though as they say, "nothing ventured, nothing gained!"
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend - we have a workshop tomorrow, so I'll try to remember and take a picture of what we're making and post it when I get home!
Hugs,
Lisa x

They look great good luck with the stall - youve probably thought of them but what about Santa keys?? Beer Mat Calenders (cover the beer mat in nice paper though - lol) erm... thats all I can think of - pretty useless really lol xx
Looking fabulous Lisa. I really hope it's a great success for you and your Mum. Such lovely things you are so creative. The cake is finished so all ready for tomorrow. Poor Daisy is just getting over her chicken pox....she's covered. Enjoy your weekend. Hugs xx
Hiya Lisa, looks good the little book marks. I have done 3 craft fayre's at my school . . . One Christmas and two Summer... I did brilliantly at the first selling handmade tote bags mainly which flew and couldn't make enough as kept getting more orders. I made over £200 at this. The other two people just were not buying at all despite me having a table full of handmade items which took ages to make. Other stall holders had the same result as me, we didn't actually make anything and I was at a loss financially. As much as I love doing the fayres I decided last Summer and this Christmas to not even attempt a stall as its too much work to prepare the goods for them to be left on the stall at the end. I do hope that you have good fortune and sell many items. Take care and have a lovely week end. Sue x
I saw these on Facebook first and thought they looked great, the kite shaped ones are my favourite but I'm sure the children will love the monster ones - they always seem to go for things like that. I hope you and your mum have a successful craft fair, I'm sure you will, but it all boils down to who attends on the day and how well it's been advertised because there is definitely nothing wrong with what you are selling. Look forward to seeing your other crafty makes.
