Passion for Promarkers - Something New...

Good morning, crafty friends! Gosh, it's Tuesday again...so you know what that means, don't you?...yep, that's right - it's the start of a  brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers!  This week we have the lovely Ali in the hostess chair choosing us a nice, easy theme of 'Something New' - so whether it be a New Home, Job or Baby or even just some new stash, we'd like to see it on your creations (if you are using new stash, it would help us to state what your new stash is!)
We're being sponsored by the fabulous Digistamp Boutique who are offering one lucky winner a £10 voucher to their online store and don't forget, to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you MUST use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) mediums and follow the challenge theme...
We were lucky enough to choose a digi to play...I mean, work...with and I chose the ever so sweet Bently and Bunny to create a new baby card.  The papers are all from the Baby set of Another Play on Words and the bunting die is a Marianne one...
I punched the edge of the card with a hole punch to give it a more lacy look and of course, coloured my bunny with my Pro/Flexmarkers...though I forgot to write the colours down...duh! I kept the card in my usual clean and simple style and just added my signature pearls to finish off.
I hope you can find the time to join in with our challenge this week and look forward to seeing all your fabulous creations! Don't forget to check out what my talented teamies have been creating for your inspiration and good luck!
Hugs,
Lisa x

I've made something!...

Good morning, dear Blogger buddies! I have actually remembered to photograph a card before sending it out! This is a card commission that I had to make this week, with the only stipulation being that it was for a Sister on her 65th Birthday...now sometimes I curse the subject matter that some people give me to put on a card, but it can also be as difficult when you aren't given any guidance at all and are just told something pretty..I mean, something I think is pretty, somebody else might not! But this is what they've ended up with...
...I decided to go quite girly and plumped for flowers and butterflies...surely I can't go wrong with that and I hope the recipient likes it?!
Right, off to do the dreaded food shop - I've managed to eke it out to a fortnight, but the boys are complaining that there's nothing to eat in the house...they still manage to get tea every night, so I don't think they're starving just yet, but I think the combos that are left in the freezer would make some strange menu choices!!
Have a terrific Thursday, whatever you're up to!
Hugs,
Lisa x

Passion for Promarkers - I {heart} you...

This card came in the Top 3 at Come and Get It Challenges
This card was also the chosen winner and DT Favourite at Craft Rocket Challenges
THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!

Good morning again, dear Blogger friends and I hope you're having a totally terrific Tuesday! You know what this means?!...Yep! It's the start of a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers!
This week it's the lovely Shelly in the hostess chair and she's chosen a topical theme of 'I {heart} you!' So rather than a specific love or Valentine's themed creation, we would like to see anything with a heart on it...this could be heart die cuts, an image holding a heart or even heart backing paper...
Don't forget to be in with a chance of wining the prize, which is a fantastic Promarkers set courtesy of Cowling & Wilcox (my favourite place to buy Promarkers) you MUST use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products and of course, follow the challenge theme! It would also help massively if you could state which products you've used and where, for example, 'coloured with Promarkers'.
I decided to get ahead and create hubby's Valentine's card using the super cute Look at Me Lolly from Angie's Digi Store. I went into heart overload and had lolly peeking out from behind a pretty lacy heart that is from a lovely die set that my sister got for my birthday...
I used my GoKreate Frilly Frames #2 for the card base - one of my all time favourites for shaped cards and the papers were all from in my scrap drawers.
Lolly was coloured using my Pro/Flexmarkers - Tan, Caramel, Cinnamon, Umber, Linen, Vanilla, Champagne
I was rather brave (or stupid!) and decided to add some doodles once my card was finished, but I feel it just finished it off.
I hope you can find the time to join in with our challenge this week and look forward to seeing all of your fabulous creations! Don't forget to hop over to the Passion for Promarkers blog to see what my talented teamies have created for your inspiration and to enter...
Hugs,
Lisa x

Workshop cards - February 4th...

Good morning, dear Blogger buddies! I have actually remembered to take photographs of the cards we made in workshop on Saturday and so am here to share them with you!...
The first card was inspired by Ewa's card HERE and uses a pretty Marianne butterfly die cut in black and backed with an inked layer, using Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks.  The papers are from Animal Antics CD-Rom - the Cat polka dot and Horse corrugated papers.
The girls really loved this card and despite everyone's butterfly being different shades, they all turned out beautifully!...
Second up was a card using the Hot Air Balloon from Another Play on Words CD-Rom.  It uses a variety of papers from the CD and the JPEG balloons, printed at 9 to a page for the larger and 35 to a page contact sheet for the smaller one...
I really liked this layout and am currently using it to make an upcoming DT card, though I'm sure it will look very different to this one!
I have been so busy drawing and creating for workshops, plus trying to fit in working on the campervan, that crafty time is at a premium at the minute!  I also need to learn to photograph cards before I send them out, as they either get delivered or sent in the post and then I think of taking pictures!
Hope you can find time for some crafting and have a magnificent Monday - I have kid's club later...oh, joy!
Hugs,
Lisa x
