Passion for Promarkers - Sparkle and Shine...

Good morning, crafty friends! It's a totally miserable day here in North Wales, with cold, sideways rain and gale force winds...the kind of day where you'd just like to curl back under the duvet until it's gone...or in my case, sit at my crafty table and sort out for Saturday's workshop!  Well, my craft fairs are over and although I did okay, I was hoping to come back with empty boxes...no such luck!...so it'll be a bit of a juggle trying to find homes for everything...I really need to sort out my craft room, but it's got to that stage where I just don't know where to start and I could do with all 4 walls being lined with bookcases! How come I hoard so much 'stuff' and yet don't seem to have very much to craft with?! (Although I could  make something out of nothing, hence the hoarding!)…

Enough of my waffle!...I'm here to let you all know about the brand new challenge that is starting today over at Passion for Promarkers! The lovely Shelly is in the hostess chair and she's given us a topical theme of 'Sparkle and Shine', just perfect for the upcoming season...(my house seems to be covered in glitter!). We are being sponsored by LeAnn's World 101 who are offering one lucky winner a choice of 2 digi stamps from their online store...

We were lucky enough to get an image to play with and I chose 'Fun with Stockings'...I used the image a little differently and decided to cut it down and just use the top half, so that she was the focal point on my card...
I coloured her up with my Pro/Flexmarkers -
Skin - Blush, Dusky Pink, Coral
Hair - Buttercup, Champagne, Tan and Nutmeg
Stocking - Cool Aqua, Duck Egg, Surf Blue
Holly leaves - Leaf Green, Chartreuse and Forest Green
Berries and Candy cane - Berry Red, Crimson

For my sparkle and shine, I used crystal glitter on the top of the stocking and her hair, gold glitter on the stocking patch and her dress straps, plus used a hot pink pearl paper for my mat. I signed it with my 3 pearls and added a bit of doodling, just to tie in the black line art...and I was done!

Once again, I am going to have to cover my house in damp washing, in the hopes of getting it dry, there's a basket of ironing with my name on it and I have a second sample and packs to put together for workshop...so what am I still doing here?!

I hope you can play along with our fun challenge this week and look forward to seeing how you interpret the theme...
Hugs,

This is awesome Lisa-I love the way you've blown up the image ( the beauty of digis!) and your colouring is just perfect! Hugs, Juliex
