More Christmas cards...

Good afternoon, crafty friends! After yesterday's Altenew inspired Christmas card (HERE), it occurred to me that not everyone likes colouring like I do?!...so with this in mind, I decided to make a couple of simple CAS style cards using some of the precoloured images from my 12 Cards of Christmas CD...

I created them both using the png images in my graphics program and added some Glossy Accents to the wax of the candle and a couple of decoupage layers to the postbox...some glitter and pearls finished them off too.
I hope you all have a fabulous Friday and that you find some time for crafting over the weekend...we have a workshop on tomorrow, so I'll be spending the morning crafting...I'll try to remember to take photographs and share them when I get home...

Christmas Roses...

Good afternoon, crafty friends!...I have been having a play at my crafty table, just for the fun of it (it's been a while since that's happened!) and it amazes me how much my crafting style has changed over the years.  I have definitely developed a love of clean and simple and one of my favourite brands for inspiration of this, is Altenew… I have never been a stamper, but just love the simple, floral cards that I see all over Pinterest and wanted to have a go at something similar, without having to fork out for stamps, etc (funding for craftiness is tight at the moment!)…
So I turned to my own designs, to try and refresh something that I may not consider my current style and used the Christmas Rose digistamp from my 12 Cards of Christmas CD-Rom…
...When I created this disc, I didn't have my alcohol markers, or a fraction of the dies that I have now, so it was nice to look at the image with fresh eyes and create something completely different to when they were produced. I used the png images from the disc and positioned them at opposite corners of a 13.5 x 9.5cm rectangle in my graphics program, printed off, then coloured and highlighted with glitter, plus some die cut holly leaves for a bit of dimension. I used the 'happy' die from a Memory Box Birthday set and stamped (I know!) the Christmas sentiment from a stamp set that I picked up for a couple of pounds...
I might get into stamping one day (maybe when funds allow?!) But for now, I will continue to try and repurpose the things that I already have and give them new life and a new style!

Passion for Promarkers - Make it Feminine...

Morning, dear Blogger buddies! It's that time of the week again, which means it's a brand new challenge starting over at Passion for Promarkers! This week it's the lovely Nic in the hostess chair and she's given us all a nice, easy theme of 'make it Feminine', so we'd like to see all those makes for the ladies in our lives...Remember, it doesn't have to be a card, just as long as you use your Letraset/Winsor & Newton mediums and follow the challenge theme, you can be in with a chance of winning this week's prize...
...which is a $12 voucher to spend in the wonderful A Day for Daisies online store...
We were lucky enough to get an image to play with and I went with the ever so pretty Spring Flower Hair...
I wanted to create something different and thought that the image would like nice cut from the front of the card...it also meant that I could keep the image quite large to show off all the pretty detail...
I kept everything else on the card quite simple, so that the image was the focal point and just adding a lace border die cut and ornate oval with sentiment. I added a few pearls in her hair and my obligatory 3 pearls in the corner (this is like me signing my name on my card!)…
Well, I need to get my thinking cap on for ideas for our next workshop on Saturday...Mum's coming over in a little while and we'll be shuffling papers around for most of the day! Have a totally terrific Tuesday, whatever you're up to and I hope to be back soon!
Crafty hugs,
I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges :

Passion for Promarkers - Dies and/or Punches...

Good afternoon, crafty friends! Gosh, these Tuesdays are rolling round and an alarming pace...but you know what that means, don't you? Yep, that's right! We've started a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers...
The lovely Marie is in the hostess chair and has given us a nice, easy theme of Dies and/or punches, so we'd like you to use these items on your creations...
We have a set of 6 Promarkers for one lucky winner, donated by our wonderful Denise, so what are you waiting for? Why not get out your pens and get colouring?!…
I decided to go with a sunny, cocktail theme for my card and used my new Sizzix die cut alphabet for the sentiment.  The image is one of my own, as are the papers and I added some sprinkles and a touch of glitter for some sparkle...
It's a bit of a short and sweet post today as I forgot to post this morning, plus I'm off to get the hedges cut whilst it's not too hot...Hope you can find the time to join in with our challenge this week and I look forward to seeing all of your wonderful creations!

A couple more...

Good morning, again my dear Blogger cuddies! Hope you're all having a wonderful Wednesday!
I'm back again to share a couple more of the embossed cards that I have been making...
I've really got into colouring dry embossing and love the way this pretty floral panel turned out. I inked the Cuttlebug Stylized Flower folder with Mustard Seed Distress Ink before embossing, then coloured some of the details with my Promarkers...you may notice that frame die making an appearance again!
Again, some more colouring, but this time just a subtle touch of colour on this Sizzx folder - not sure of the name...
And this is what my stash loos like so far...I have to replicate a few more of them, to sell in a local store but it should keep me busy for a wee while!
Thanks for dropping by and I hope to be back soon with some more paper creations!

Embossed cards...

Good morning, crafty friends! I have been completing a few card orders of late and was asked to make a batch of cards for a lady who loves dry embossing...although I love embossing myself, it can be a bit difficult to know what to do with it, other than just matting and layering it onto a card and this is what I came up with...
Firstly, a wedding card using Couture Creations Ornament Hearts folder...
I really like this pretty, doily frame folder from XCut...
Finally, this Get Well card uses the Dandelion Whisper embossing folder from Craft Concepts and was coloured lightly with Promarkers...
I do have a couple more in progress and will share them tomorrow...

Passion for Promarkers - Hip to be Square...

Good morning, Blogger buddies! Well, another Tuesday rolls around and you know what that means, right?!...Yep, you guessed it, it's the start of a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers! I am playing hostess this week and have given an ever so easy theme of 'Hip to be Square'...so I want to see square card bases, boxes, or canvasses, if that's your material of choice! Whatever your style, as long as it's square, it's hip!
We are being sponsored by Uniko stamps who are offering one lucky winner a choice of stamp set from their online store (has to be in stock)...so what are you waiting for? Get out those pens and get colouring!...
I tend to create with whatever is on my table at the time and often find that my cards go through phases because of this...at the moment, this frame die is one that is taking up residence on my crafty table, so is getting used quite often in my creations! The sweet unicorn and papers are my own designs...I'm hoping to update my Etsy shop over the Summer holidays, so this may just appear over there! And clouds had to make an appearance on my card...just because...I don't know what it is about them, but I just love to use them in my crafting!
I hope you can drag yourself away from the sunshine and find the time to play along with my challenge this week and look forward to hopping round and seeing all your wonderful creations!
Crafty hugs,
